Is this a funster?

I was waiting for the p&r bus at a local hospital. There were lots of ambulances stacked by the entrance, the approaching P&R driver drove into the gap which waa especially tight because the ambulance rear doors were open as they were in the process of offloading a patient. I was convinced the bus driver knew it would not work. He even pulled further through after the first contact, and had a determined expression on his face. It looked deliberate. Absolutely incredible. I've no idea what happened as a result of all this but can't see how he would have retained his job. Yet he had his route to follow, and it was very tight.

Always dodgy mounting kerbs as the vehicle tilts and it would be a lot on a double decker.

Remember when I was new to Motorhoming I met a Double decker coming the other way in Lydd High St, I went up the kerb to give the bus room, nearly had to get the brown trousers out when I saw how close my awning was to the bus, missed it by a couple of inches.
Ah yes, I have a pair of those for just such occasions.

I imagine the Tesla owner’s going to be less than impressed with the Range Rover driver’s thoughtless parking. 🙂

That's a set up or photoshop, no way could the driver get out.

A fire engine would have got passed that by mounting the kerb . The bus couldn't due to the open windows on the house. Bus driver is meant to be a professional though and bleeding stupid to try passing the motorhome.

Council also stupid for not continuing the double yellow lines.

So whilst the motorhomer may have parked without thinking.

He isn't the professional or the person to blame for the accident.

Is this a funster parking up on double yellow lines?

Elsewhere there is a thread about "motorhome hostility" and here we have a classic example of why one might encounter it. Of course the motorhome is not illegally parked but it is a classic example of "if a thing can be done, it doesn't mean it should be done". Assuming no breakdwon or other emergency, simply a stupid and thoughtless bit of parking fo the kind guaranteed to breed a little moho hostility. That said, what encouraged the bus driver to try to pass it is another thing . . . .

Small town in Ayrshire about 45 years ago had similar problem with cars blocking road not enough room for large vehicles to get by. Lorry driver, possibly/probably inebriated, pre breathalyser days just drove straight down the middle, think he got a £3 fine and a thank you from the police for sorting the situation 🤣
