We use it and it's free and so easy ..Plot where you are add photos, add comments, the job is done... see it all on a map!!!!There is an app ( and a website, I believe) called Polarsteps which allows you to log and annotate journeys with words and photos. I haven’t used it myself, but a friend of mine sent me a link to their caravan trip round Spain and Portugal last year. It looked great. polarsteps.comView attachment 576575
If you have nothing to hide it's absolutely brilliant, my son works in a job where he goes round a lot of quarys and has to claim his traveling money and he just puts his timeline stuff down on his claim, job done.It makes me wonder what else they know about us.
Unless you are 'naughty' and they ban you!You can't lose Google, get a new phone or gadget and it's all there.
What could you do that upsets Google?Unless you are 'naughty' and they ban you!
Dunno ... wanna try? What could you do that upsets Google?
A lot , a hellva of a lotIt makes me wonder what else they know about us.

... and probably (for some funsters) there will be some stuff they wish they didn't know!A lot , a hellva of a lot
…and not leave it in the sun else the colour will fade away !Good system , got to have a steady hand , and colour pens that don’t clash with colours on the map
Like my Beatles signatures…and not leave it in the sun else the colour will fade away !
Wow. That looks clever and like something I could like. Only problem is, not sure how to do iti log all our trips, including coordinates, on an Excel sheet and then import into google maps.

Sure, You will of course need Excel. Create your spreadsheet with the columns you want to record (costs, comments etc) and include the coordinates. I use longitude and latitude, column for each. I'll pvt message you the rest unless anyone else has any interest.Would you mind (be able) to private message me how you set up you excel sheet and how you import to google maps with tags?

We have our tours on there from 2007 on and can look back anytime we want.
Yes, thanks. I’m not bad with excel columns, formulates etc. I don’t know though how to import stuff. A view of your sheet in a pm would be great to start off, then, maybe, how to import into a map.Sure, You will of course need Excel. There is an app called Polarsteps, this is the site: https://www.polarsteps.com/ it is a fantastic app, good luckHi
I’ve done a search but can’t find the answer other than somebody suggesting an app.
We have racked up so many sites and places, that I’m forgetting where we have been to some degree.
I wondered if it is it possible to load a map (Google maps?), and mark all the places we have visited and perhaps a note/tag of the site we stayed at, what we thought of it, price etc, so we can just load the map easily and make reference to it?
Thanks
I like it, that looks great, also the blog thing, never knew about the blog thing, I will have to load now and try it, OMG yet another thing I have got to, thought on retirement I would have less to do.i log all our trips, including coordinates, on an Excel sheet and then import into google maps.
