Is Morocco still a destination this winter after their earthquake?

Is it not a worry driving around with a van full of alcohol and food in a post earthquake country or am I overthinking it?

I understand there are issues with vehicle insurance so worth checking if not already

I don't think so - nervous traveller to any muslim country. Last time we went to Morocco, a couple of months later the cafe we ate at in Marrakesh was bombed - din't help her nerves then either

Its worth considering changing your insurance company if you're able to imo.
I've been investigating Caravan Guard. I'll probably go with them for insurance when our new van eventually arrives. I've contacted them and they do Montenegro/Albania for £26 for 1 mont green card, fully comp. I know it's not Morocco but may be do there as well?

Don't let the doomsayers put you off. Just because it's a Muslim country is no reason to avoid it, they are perhaps the most hospitable people we've ever come across.
Concerning the earthquakes, knowing the country I'd guess most of the affected areas are now well on the way to recovery, although once in-country getting some local knowledge before travelling to those areas might be a good idea.
Tourism is their second largest source of foreign currency - your visit helps a lot.

Cost me £73 for 2.5 months with lv, but I am insured with them already. (y)

I’m with comfort at the moment but I’ll be in Spain when it comes up for renewal in December, can you take out new insurance while not in the uk..?

If you are already out of UK I think, but might be wrong, that you wouldn't be covered.

That’s what I thought so I would just let the comfort insurance renew itself…

I've renewed several times when out of the country but not changed companies

It was 2 days after we were there!!
And Istanbul bomb was 4 days after our visit

9/11 didn't stop us going to NewYork and 7/7 didn't stop us going to London.

I’m going to chance the border insurance…😱
I was talking to a chap in the Canterbury aire ,who did just that ,he had been in morocco for 4 months, I asked him how he did that. Said he just drove into Ceuta, back to Spain as it were ,spent the night there and drove back into morocco the next day with a new I.d number etc, said it was no issue. Border control spain/ morocco didn't question him ,he used the Tangier Med ferries in and out. (y)

If still in UK I would be renewing early and get the credit for the unused portion of your existing policy.
Just a heads up, twice now I have cancelled a policy after selling our motorhome and both times no credit!
In terms and conditions on my new policy yesterday, read at speed by advisor, but I ‘m sure I heard it said again.
Worth asking before you do!

Ive also done it twice, with scooter insurance, got the repayment no probs, actually saved money the second time. If the current insurance no longer fits my needs I change it. I wouldnt fancy border insurance with the Mh.

Probably better to spend the money on a few Kit Kats and cans of Coke at least you will get something out of it😂😂

Never got border insurance but I don’t think it sounds very like you would get anything back should you need to claim🤔🤔

as its the basic minimum legal requirement for Morocco then very unlikely. Much better to arrange the best you can before you leave. Even if it does mean early cancellation and re-insuring its better to lose a few hundred quid than the entire Mh IMO.
