Is it safe to shop at Carrefour, Citi de Europe.

Hi all, crossing to France at the end of the week through the Tunnel. Want to stock up on other side. Anyone have recent experience of stopping at Citi de Europe and is the van safe? Plan for one of us to stay with the van while we shop. Is this necessary? Thanks.

in a word "NO". Drive halfway to Boulogne, Intermarche and Aldi just off main road at Marquise

No, even the Gendarmes warn you not to stop during the day.

We parked there for half an hour last month on the way back as the boss wanted a quick look, while she was browsing a few 'lads' were scanning our van along with the only other brit van (empty), they eventually wandered off into the trees at the back but apart from that no bother.
Most definately wouldn't leave the van unattended though.

Although we have been here many times in the past, even stopping the night once but now it just isn't worth it , there are plenty other supermarkets.
