As you're concerned about the wheels it's probably a good idea to get the vehicle's designed limit for the braking system if you're uprating.............NOBODY at this time can give me the weight limit of the original Fiat alloy wheels, if anyone can then that would be appreciated.
I have instructed professionals to deal with the upgrade issue, I am not an expert in these matters, so will be taking their advice, I understand that do I have upgrade brakes.Probably a good idea to get the top limit of the brakes if you're uprating.............
Wouldn’t it be less stressful to go and stay in an hotel?NOBODY at this time can give me the weight limit of the original Fiat alloy wheels, if anyone can then that would be appreciated.

If their product knowledge isn’t that good I’d not be impressed, it’s not your job to do their staff training.was surprised when I was told they had never had anyone ask so many questions, they said they were learning a lot by finding out the answers for me.
How long is the
Is that a bit OCD?I just find it amazing that Swift themselves have no idea what the weight limit is for the alloy wheels they use, surely the Swift design engineers should know that! Anyway the question was sent by them to Fiat last week, I’m still waiting for the reply.
The FIAT alloy wheels as fitted to the heavy chassis are suitable for 1250 KG each, giving a max axle load of 2500 KG. As you correctly state, to go to a higher axle load than this you will require a stronger wheel.NOBODY at this time can give me the weight limit of the original Fiat alloy wheels, if anyone can then that would be appreciated.

I think the go in fazes, my old one was exceptional hence it sold in a couple of days but that was 2004 model year, I heard they had a few bad years, here's hoping 2019 is a good year or I could be regretting changing!Think the main question to ask is are Swift Motorhomes any good,,many on this Forum over the last couple of years think not,,sorry. BUSBY.
Sometimes if you are looking at motorhomes at a dealership and see one you like its better to ask them there and then about certain things, seems a bit daft to then go home and look it up on the internet, what are the salesmen there for?I would do all my research online about the model I was looking for before I went to look at any van.
Sometimes you can make yourself look a bit of a twat by asking stupid questions like how much overhang has it got.
Have you got the technical data sheet for that please as I need it for SVTech. Sorry, I was was just passing on the info from Carthago, when I enquired about going from 4500kg to 4700kg. The heavier wheels are available from Goldschmidt to use with the 121 rated tyres. I'm surprised SV Tech haven't got this info as several of the Carthago owners have done this upgrade.Have you got the technical data sheet for that please as I need it for SVTech. Thanks![]()
If the mh you like is at the dealership then why would you ask how much overhang it has..............step it out if it bothers you that much!!!! ?Sometimes if you are looking at motorhomes at a dealership and see one you like its better to ask them there and then about certain things, seems a bit daft to then go home and look it up on the internet, what are the salesmen there for?![]()
It's around about 6". Any longer and you'd either loop it up and it would be a skein of string, longer a ball or coil of string. Any shorter and you'd chuck it as its not long enough to use as a shoe lace or to knot it.Ask how long is a piece of string.......and demand an answer.
That'll give them something to think about
