Is it an easy DIY job to upgrade from 6Kg Gaslow bottles to 11Kg Gaslow bottles?

There are also 14kg Alugas cylinders which might fit.

Good suggestions about Alugas. I guess they are compatible with the existing connectors and system.

Thank you.

and also want to go to Iceland....

As an aside- that is interesting. I feel Iceland is one of my favorite places after a couple of Winter trips there. I really want to do a longer summer trip. We've done it by hire car and hotels in the past.

I'm not sure about taking the motorhome - is it worth it. Long distance to get there, expensive ferries. Wonder whether it would be better to hire when there. Do they do motorhome/camper rentals over there?

Thanks for your suggestions 😀

I was thinking about selling our two 6kg bottles as they are only four years old.

Not thought about adding a diesel heater tbh. We have Alde heating so I’m unsure how that will work with a diesel heater.

Also, we are very close to our 4000 kg GVW so I’d have to check the additional weight of the diesel heater (I’ve factored in the additional weight of the two 11kg bottles) and also where it would go in the van. Our garage space is maxed out with our two eMTB’s.
The deisel heaters don't weigh much as they are basically aluminium in a plastic outer housing. They weigh less than 3kgs. You don't need an extra tank you can plumb in to your main tank.iplumbed purs in through the vent elbow on the inspection plate which can easily be replaced if needed.you can use the lightweight ducting to pipe the hot air around your van .they heat up very quickly unlike the alde system.
They are very efficient. And less than £100 to buy and easy to install with basic skills.

My sister took her MH to Iceland via Denmark and the Pharoah Islands.

They had a fantastic time, but I imagine the ferries were very expensive. If just wanting to experience Iceland, maybe fly drive, as you have done, would be preferable.
