Since 2020 - caravanned for 30 years before that
In the past we've explored other areas of France, Loire, Dordogne, South (including midi-pyrenes and coast) and West coast so, as we only had a couple of weeks, we headed to Brittany in mid-September. After a couple of days around Bayeux we pottered on, knowing that we wouldn't see much and taking our time. Apart from Dinan, we mainly went along the coast - with our furthest point west being Trégastel . One thing we noticed was how busy all the sites were, compared to when we've been elsewhere. Is this normal? We're thinking of re-visiting next May/June to explore further and wondering if we need to think about booking favourite sea-view sites?

We got back from a six week tour of western France about a week ago starting and ending in Brittany. This year we found everywhere unusually busy for September, not just Brittany. I wonder if the poor weather throughout large parts of europe in the early summer this year put many people off touring then but come September, with the school holidays over they thought "Blow it, it's now or never if we want to get away this year before the winter draws in".
