Invertors

Led TV 40 watts
Sky Box 25 watts

It might be better to replace with a 12V 24" TV with built in satellite. Then you won't need to run a noisy, greedy inverter for hours when watching TV.

So a 100 - 150 watt would do.
I was more interested in what model TV & sat to see if there are suitable 12v power supplies.
sorry it's a normal house tv 230v not sure with box. A friend of ours who has mh says he uses 1500w 600 soft start. Only use for tv seems a bit ott then if you think I would get away with 150. Don't want to spend loads of money for a bigger 1 if not needed.

The problem with using a bigger inverter than you need is the current overhead you don't want to be supplying 2 or 3 amps just to run the inverter if you are off grid.

You mentioned a hair drier earlier have a look at the gas hair stylers Babyliss & Braun make them Boots sell them they are good we have one.

I thought it was ott too. Think listened to too many people and got confused. I was going to buy a 500/600 watt. Will try and sell and get another 1.
But right at the top of this thread you mentioned "hairdryer" that would change your inverter power requirement considerably.

I understand. Our plan is to only off grid for a day or so whilst traveling Europe then go on camp site. So I suppose hair can wait that long 😀. So really it's only going to be used to watch a bit of TV in evenings. If I got a 500w that would surely do wouldn't it??

Likely already asked....

Connection, is it as simple as connecting the wires from the relevant inverter to the battery (with in line fuse) ?

yes I did but thinking about it I can do without dryer as only plan to go off grid for a night or 2.
