2008 Sunlight A69
Hi All, we’ve been camper fans for years. Started with a VW Type 2 and had a few over the years. Now we’re older we need the more homely facilities, so have a Sunlight A69 for 2 of us 🤣 so loads of room. We only wild camp on West Coast of Ireland and are out most weekends, rain or rain, as we don’t have much shine. 🫣. I consider my Motorhome to be a life changer. Best thing I ever bought. Absolutely love it.

Hello and :WelcomeFlag: from North Wiltshire.
We loved our Type 2 camper. This is our self-build, camping in Oman.

Love Oman. My sister lives out in Muscat. Been a couple of times visiting, lovely place and people. Don’t know if I’d fancy a T2 out there in the summer. You were brave. Hi to Wiltshire, spent many years in Tidworth. 🫡

We loved Oman too. It was a very special experience. We drove the VW back to UK, added a rising roof to accommodate growing family, and kept it for a further 10 years.

:hiya2: Ireland is on our list in the not so distant future as Son and DiL live there, we would welcome any recommendations you have from your travels 👍

We live in Roscommon but always head to the Mayo/Sligo coast, only 50min or so. OK, recommendations. A) bring your wet gear, even in the height of summer it rains. Co Donegal is lovely but wild camping is hit and miss. Cruit Island is a lovely spot (55.0332772, -8.4179228) and head to Mt Errigal if you want to stretch your legs. Easy hike. (55.0353017, -8.1129654). Co Sligo is cracking. Rosses Point (54.3090818, -8.5702801). Strandhill (54.2707736, -8.6023630) No wild camping, nice campsite and good pubs and eating places. Aughris Head, Beach Bar. You can pitch up around the back. (54.2683693, -8.7590482). Easkey (54.2849130, -8.9557129). Co Mayo Kilcummin (54.2814123, -9.2153171). Downpatrick (54.3197888, -9.3450850) Rin Roe (54.3029819, -9.8405322). Glosh (54.3029819, -9.8405322). Achill Island (53.9738422, -10.0789280). Westport (53.7999484, -9.5424634). Loads of pubs and resteraunts and of course Crough Patrick. The list goes on. 🤣. You’re safe as houses wild camping. Enjoy your travels.

vdubber Thank you, really appreciate that, sounds great. We always come prepared for rain, it wouldn't be the same there without it 🤣👍
