Hi all. About to change our MH and looking for layout best suited to our new (young) dog. Best space when stationary would be a space sectioned off in the garage but need easy access from inside. Anyone done this or know of MH models that are good for this? Thanks.

Rollerteam 690 has a large hatch into the garage. I can fit a double trans k9 dog box in the garage no problem.
Motorhome is for sale in the classifieds if you are interested. 😉
Our Rimor Koala 48 has this and that’s exactly what we are going to use it for. Garage big enough to put his crate in there (when stationary) and pack our gear around it 👍🏼

bear in mind, a hatch into the garage is also a hatch into the van for a scrote who breaks into the garage ,,.

Yes, I was thinking the same so best to make sure it can be securely locked from the hab side.

Garage key and Habitation door are the same key, save that the garage has two locks and Hab door one.

The amount of junk in my garage would be a deterrent.

It would be very easy to secure the internal door, van side.

A subject dear to my heart: we have a wonderful Chausson 640, chosen primarily for its dog home luxury. Sliding hatch from van into garage is large enough to fit a deerhound through, and the garage floor takes 2 huge Tuffie beds. Our last deerhound is no longer with us sadly, but the lurcher and beagle now reside in comfort too. They take up 2/3 of garage, leaving loads for other kit.

The dogs love the 'den' feel, and training is easy - just set up their beds, climb in yourself with cocktail sausages, call them in, and brace for the onslaught.

Now considering a new van and have looked at Pilote 696D Evidence which has just as large a sliding door. But being nagged to go for Adria Matrix 600DT. Downside is the 90 degree hinged hatch door is only 315mm wide, or 335mm if I take off the door. Will the dogs fit through, and then be able to keep an eye on us? Apparently I wont be allowed to pay the money, then immediately have a larger hole cut in it??
