Insurance - Spanish residents

Been with Liberty for 15 yr, I insured my Motorbike through Linear Direct, never again, sold the bike 3 weeks before the insurance expired, I rang them to inform them and they said its on auto renew so they were going to charge me a yr policy even tough it didnt have the bike. The bank didnt seem interested until I tried to close my account to stop the money leaving, only then did they stop it.

I looked around for insurance for my new van last month, I found insuranceinspain to be the cheapest for the van value. MAPFRE were cheaper, but would only give 50000€ value, even though my van cost over double the offer.

Motorhome insured with Allianz, car insured with EasyCover and house insured with the bank(Sabadell).
No problems up to now but haven’t made a claim which is usually when you discover how good they are.

Renewal of Liberty Seguros policy due on 31st.
Is it worth trying others ?
Car and house are with Generali atm - they don't insure motorroams ...
How old is the van ? Over 10 to 12 years many will not offer full comp so you are stuck with whoever the current insurer is .

That is because to cancel the policy at year end you have to give them 1 months notice. To cancel at any other time only way is sale of vehicle & show insurer the paperwork or scrap it, = same with paperwork, or a 'baja' (sorn) same again. Even then many do not offer any refund.*
* Liberty were the only ones to give me a full refund when I changed vehicles just after renewing a few years ago
