Yes this is true. But a motorhome needs to be safe for both standard polarity and reverse polarity if it is used outside the UK. In Germany, Spain and much of Europe, some campsites and aires have the domestic sockets which are the Schuko type and are reversible. So it's 50/50 whether the polarity is reversed or not. That's another reason to be sure the trip switches are all double pole types.That is only one aspect of it, and already mentioned; yes it has to be double pole, so it disconnects both live conductors: line and neutral. Reason is, the low TT earthing impedance, and you are sitting in a lived conductive part in fault condition, thats bonded to the earthing conductor. Nothing to do with reversed polarity. Reversed polarity is checked upon initial dead tests. That if you have it tested.
