Although having had to return to caravanning after 30 years motorhoming, I have a dear friend looking for a camper van/motorhome with a fixed bed 3.5 weight. She wants my advice (apart from joining this fab forum!) and I can’t be impartial cos I’ve always loved the lay out.

If on FB, have her join the Wildax Enthusiast's Group.
I don't have the Elara, not sure it's a current model, but have had an Aurora Fixed Bed for the past 7 years, and apart from a couple of (sorted) niggles, it has been brilliant.

That is so good to hear first hand. Thank you.

We had an Elara for the best part of 4 years, currently for sale at IH Motorhomes where we traded it in, worth a look, they have great photos and video to show the layout etc.
Happy to answer any questions you have.
Passed that on and had a look myself - love the up market finish. We had Cathagos but that model looks the business - certainly is a bench mark that is hard to better. Thank you. Enjoy your travelling.

We've had an Elara for a couple of months. Love the layout and find the bed to be very comfy. I find the tables to be a bit of a faff and don't use them if on my own.

We always found tables either too big, too heavy or too cumbersome but put it down to having big vans ! Personally I never liked relaxing in the seats used for driving. The video makes it look a dream and they are going to Cannock to look at one. Thank you for your response. Wishing you many safe & happy trips.

Hi We viewed the van and really liked it, lots of extras as well (y), we are in the progress of hopefully putting a deal together
That’s great, if there is anything you need to know about its service history, who installed what or how everything works, please just let me know.

Stuart, that’s great news, I’m sure you’ll love the van. I’ll pm the details of the tracker/subscription. You should also download the Mercedes app, it also has a tracking mechanism, shows doors locked etc and service items etc, very useful.
