So, here we are in France, and I’ve damaged my left knee. Manual gearbox - so staying outside for a few days whilst my wife does the exploring. I’m sitting about, reading and watching.
I’ve seen a Dutch (?) Adria PVC Motorhome arrive and be levelled on a slightly sloping pitch by using inflatable airbags under two of the wheels. The airbags seem to be plugged in to the side of the van.
What does anyone know about these airbag systems ? Are they any good? Would they work with a 3.5 tonne van? Do they have to be plugged into something (compressor?) onboard, or would my Ring tyre pump do?

Lots of questions….
(And does anyone want to hear about my French A&E experience?)

I've been watching that space for a good number of years and still no joy.

Yes! Something like that. Expensive!
But the ones on the Adria PVC are deffo plugged into the side of the van. I’ll have a closer look tomorrow.

Likewise, after considering for our twin axle caravan.

C'mon! Hurry up it's tomorrow.

Get around to your new Dutch friends for coffee and croissants and a bit of detective work!(y)

Well I’ve hobbled over to have a look at the inflatable lifters.
They are indeed Flat Jacks. Two of them.
I also discovered that they are NOT plugged into the van (my mistake). The hook-up cable passes over one of them so it just looks as if they are.
Owners weren’t there.

But isn’t it quicker just to drive up the ramps and off again? I assume you have to deflate the pads as well as inflate them. I have only seen them used once on a German MH in Spain.

We used to use Lock n Level on our caravan and they did the job perfectly. Given the amount of faffing you have to do setting up the caravan, they were little additional trouble and we usually ended up very level indeed. Since getting the MH we find we are not too precious about levelling, somewhere near enough does. We carry two ramps but rarely use them. Our MH sits high at the back with airbags, so se usually go nose-on to a slopping pitch and reduce air in the rear if needs be to get a it closer, only using ramps front and back on one side if there is a cross slope. Never bothered with the airbags since the MH arrived.

I think one of the main advantages for me would be the very reduced space to pack/travel with them, compared to milenco triples or quattros.

From memory, single lock and level would take up about half the space of a ramp but would weigh quite a bit more.
