In UK with almost empty German cylinders

That’s not the issue here ⚠️
Propane cylinders should NEVER be stored or used indoors ⚠️
That’s a bomb
Single stage Propane regulator that could very well vent off excess pressure .
Can I ask what is the difference between butane and propane when it comes to indoor use? Thread drift but of interest!

Thanks everyone! They are refillable and we've been able to refill them in Germany and Austria without problems. However have always just gone to companies who take the bottle and refill for you (not exchange).

I'm thinking that if we were able to get our hands on the right adaptor we could refill at a pump ourselves by takingthe cannister out. However this is not something we've done and would like to avoid if possible.

Ideally we could find a place (maybe a distributor) who could help us but we haven't had any luck.

This raises the question as to what our European friends do when visiting the UK needing to refill theirs

No different to us going over there with exchange bottles.
I think these particular bottles are available for sale , so a user owned cylinder but I don’t think they have an 80 % fill stop valve .

So not really a refillable, a bit surprising considering how hot the Germans are on gas products.

It looks the same as the Campko refillable bottles which have the 80% cut off valve?

Obviously user owned but also interesting is the required test / replacement date .

The gasbank type are available on ebay a bit over a hundred quid .
