I am due to take delivery of my first Motorhome next month and so I am busily confusing my self!
I am told by my dealer that I will need a silver screen to reduce cold in winter and heat in summer. Ok, that sounds reasonable but when I start to look into options, I realise that it must be a good fit for the van ( Ducati based Adria) but also there are screens that fit on the outside of the window and those that fit on the inside.
Which is best for fit, insulation and eliminating condensation or do I need to compromise?
Specific recommendations would be appreciated.

Mesh isn't essential. It gives an element of privacy through the windscreen against those looking in during the day, and perhaps minor solar protection, if you folded down the centre part.

I suspect it will make the screen a bit bulkier to handle, due to the added cloth, but also perhaps easier to reattach the fold down panel as it will hold the outer side panels to shape. Having said that the minster screen came with a strap to attach between the top outer corners for when you are folding down the front centre.

No mesh for us. As KF says gives some privacy during daylight hours but not when dark.:whistle2:

Many thanks for the warm welcome.
The feedback is really appreciated it has helped me narrow down my requirements.
I have one further question which has arisen from your replies:
Is the mesh referred to on most of the recommended websites a necessity or just something that is useful in particular circumstances?

Thanks to to you all for the helpful responses
The extra front mesh panel is not essential but a good add on - it does give excellent privacy in daylight hours whilst still being able to see out. We have a full mesh set from Minster Polar (compact to store, waterproof fibreglass & great value at £68) which we use through the summer in conjunction with the internal Remis blinds for overnight. They have the added advantage of also being able to see out of the cab side windows. They do give good shade & we only resort to the silver screens (with extra front mesh) for insulation & to eliminate condensation when the weather turns colder.
