In France and in a gas quandry

Morning funsters. Is it essential to have an external refillable point?
Cheers.
No, but highly advisable far less chance of getting refused.
You can also blag it like I did, I got told "we don't fill bottles" I pointed at the filler and said "it's a tank" and got filled.

Our filler is inside the locker and never been refused. I once had to show an attendant the bottles to reassure her they were refillables.
If you do get refused just move on there are plenty of places in France and Spain that will supply you with gas.

Not much risk as never been refused at any time and carry over four weeks worth of gas. That’s the benefit of refillable. Not waiting till your empty.

My gas locker is inside the garage with no external fill point. I just take the SafeFill bottle down to Morrisons in the car and refill it there. With two 11kg SafeFill bottles I am never going to run out when abroad!!
