and I used to think that the places I've been I've met full timers like myself not the fake YouTube van lifers the actual ones and have met some of the most kind caring people there is and I do understand there are scammers out there so its right to be cautious

but some of the things being said I've lost most faith in humanity im losing faith in the only one bit of humanity left that I thought were great

I am sorry my words arnt great I am sorry I don't have every answer to me I've fallen on hard times I've asked for help they could just say no or even ignore me

I'm a bit confused that you are still posting on here without being a paid up member, it is in the rules that you can only have 5 free posts, you are way past that.

Its quite possible that Jim has writely so allowed an extension like the student which i agree he should

The same person has posted on other forums with similar messages this morning, and has been removed already. the email address has been blacklisted on spam forum black lists since last year.

Has already admitted they've asked for money via gofundme.

Not a community member who has had a problem, its a newbie trying their luck everywhere.

Surprised this thread is still standing?!
 
What proof do you need to claim the FIRE aspect of the insurance which as a minimum would be 3rd party fire and theft?

hi there im matt since a child I have been the life and soul of any room I used to make people smile laugh I could make a room of strangers all the best of friends just by talking to everyone making people happy.
skip forward to my 20s all through my 20s I had a big following of friends I was never short of anyone to talk to I would rather give than take my 20s were a great adventure I went to some of the most beautiful places seen some of the most beautiful things and shared that with some of the most wonderful people.
towards the end of my 20s most of my friends were settling down and I've lost touch with them I accept this happens in life and wish them all the best other friends took a darker path with drugs drink etc I didn't want to be a part of that so I moved on again.
to my 30s now I notices things getting slightly abit more serious in life so I thought to look for a life time partner wich really wasn't so hard to do as I used my charm my charisma to be the gentle soul that I am to gain a partner now not all the relationships I had were smooth or plain sailing but I eventually found the person I wanted to be with
all through my life I've worked hard im a plasterer by trade but can put my hand to many things but somthing happend stopping me from doing my job my work my life everything that makes me be unique and be me
things started to go bad with my relationship domestic abuse I am not a small man but I am a gentle soul I thought this only happend on TV but no I was beaten I couldn't nor wouldn't retaliate I wasn't allowed to visit family I couldn't speak to friends she was narcissistic always played the victim but behind closed doors hitting me with blunt swords bats accusing me mentally abusing me gaslighting me and the point of this whole gofundme I suffered a bereavement that I wasn't allowed to do nothing about.
I lost both my nan and grandad throughout lockdown wich really hurt I was devastated she pretended to be supportive of me wich I fell for as I did everytime she said sorry until the next day when I said I needed to go to see my mom as it was both her parents that died.
I wasn't allowed and if I was to leave the house then she would kill my dog I tried and pleaded and beg her to let me to cut it short I didn't go I wasn't allowed to I couldn't go to the funeral either.
well it went on a couple of months after that and one day I had enough while at work I borrowed a friends phone as I wasn't allowed my own and called the police they went and spoke to her arrested her took her in for questioning and bailed her back to her address to wich I had rushed and rushed to get my stuff out and stored it at my parents house.
now to why I'm asking for all your help I've lost my ability to speak I have closed myself in I've lost myself I am having so many issues with not being able to communicate I have had to give up my job wich was my main source of income to wich me and my grandad had the dream of us all getting a motorhome each and going on a big fishing trip
I'd actually like to honer his dream of doing that for him and I'd also like to find myself again as I've had a very very hard time of things lately please if you could help me with that dream of his id be forever greatful.

Lets assume its true and on that basis if hes mentioned its his home they wont pay out because hes full timing and unlikely to have had that type of insurance.

Generous. If I don't insure my vehicle for the purpose used, can I come to you?
Please look at the facts - the same person has been posting begging posts on multiple forums for months, tailoring for the purpose, its him, its his mate, its a fire, its a death.

Sadly, believing sob stories is how scammers work, praying on the generous and elderly in most cases, and it boils my ****. (And sadly, I deal with these sort of things more often than I care!)

The biggest tell is a "plasterer" being short on work! For anyone legit there is more work out there than you can shake a trowel at!
 
Terrible shame in this world that there are such people about, making it that genuine folks who need a hand are put in the same category and don't get it.
 
matt15721 if all these bad things have really befallen you I suggest you approach the Salvation Army. They have many resources to help people who are struggling. Turning to social media, gofundme etc is not the way to go

and I totally forgive people for thinking its a scam but a scammer would ask for money a scammer wouldn't offer a physical service like plastering I don't think anyway

The Motorhome community is a good one and have seen people on here help one another with some great acts of kindness

Here is another question if you sold your phone it’s not unreasonable to ask how you are communicating here ? It is also reasonable to think photos would be backed up to the cloud or another medium.

It’s hard not to be sceptical without evidence to the contrary. A stranger walks in on a forum asking for help which In sure would be given if some evidence is provided the concept of trust is a complex one.

Edited to say in post #18 you said

Do try and remember what you wrote as it does not bode well.

I dont think it is a correct gofundme page but this type of link takes you (sometimes) to another website which is gofund.me rather than gofundme

Exactly this. Many in real need. But many see the generous as free meal tickets.

Oh I see. In this case, the link does go to a genuine GFM page asking for money for other reasons, linked to by other forums (since removed) stating other reasons and other people (my mate) being in need

Obviously by the grammar and spelling,these people aren't very bright, yet they can sit at home and come up with these schemes.
