Can anyone give me steer on how long it takes for the Vehicle Certification Agency to process the vehicle approval and give the "type approval number"?

And also from that point how quickly do DVLA turn round the V267 (declaration of newness)and V55/4 (registration)?

I've literally just sent off the forms to VCA and would like to know how long it will take before we are able to go on our first trip.

All info much appreciated but I guess most interested in people who have imported recently during covid times.

Are you aware if you carry goods in it you have to have plated at the end of the first year rather than an MOT after 3 years.

No plan to carry any goods but good info, thanks.

Just to share I got my v5 today, we brought our mh over from france, i had the lights adjusted, speedo overlay changed as well as fog, got mot, insured with NFU i got my mutual acceptance on 25th jan so three weeks with dvla, same as my uk origin touareg - got that earlier as no changes needed for that, as its euro6 and private hgv no CAZ charges

My Import arrived in Newcastle two weeks ago. Getting the MOT done soon after re-chipping the Speedo from KM to Miles. Then its the DVLA and HMRC
