So witnesses watch and done nothing apart from take photos of the aftermath

If I’d seen a pic of the guy emptying his loo then the *same guy sitting in the drivers seat reversing over it only the once I’d have called the police not stuck a photo on FB.

What do you think I’m hiding, not once have I got personal with you on this post but because I disagree with posting pointless photos you think I’m hiding something.

Some people don't want confrontation or police involvement The dumper was most probably the driver.

If this person is a motorhomer it would be a very sad episode..... but in my opinion it’s probably some youngish person being a full sense of the word FLT who doesn’t give a sh** about anyone else.... pretending to be some anti establishment campaigner who probably went to the extinction protests about the environment....

they even put proper FLT’s to shame, to put this scum in the same bracket as us is pitiful but unfortunately that’s how non campers will see us all....

if I had witnessed this I would have been arrested for god knows what....?

At what point in any of my posts do I side with the person who done this, I’ve said more than once I don’t agree with this and if witnessed personally I’d have reported it. My point from the start is about posting photos and accusing someone on SM with no proof, even you will agree these photos prove nothing regarding this van.

The person who witnessed it is all the proof needed. If they feel they don't want any official involvement that's their perogative.

Not convinced. Why didn't he empty it over the wall. That way there would be no evidence to see. Plus I've yet to see white paper come out of any of my cassettes.

I certainly wasn’t bickering Sandra I just pointed out that we don’t actually know who done this and might be posting photos of an innocent person, then folk that don’t even know me think it’s because I’ve done it myself. All I can say is they certainly don’t know me.

In the second pic you can even see paper part wrapped around a turd.

The likely (logical) perpetrator is the owner of the Van as witness photo. What does surprise me, Knowing Scarborough, is that he/she has not got a "ticket" for not parking within the space!. Are the "wardens" laid off in close season now? (North Yorks). If so the detritus should have been noticed and reported. Bridlington is still patrolled?. (East Yorks). Whoever the perp;(s) they are a total disgrace.

Worst I ever saw was on 5 van site near Ripon and the cassette had been emptied into trees surrounding site and near a stream. Elsa point less than 50 metres away.

I wasn’t disputing what the op said as he’s only coping a post from FB, what I find hard to believe is someone stood and watched the act happening then waited to get his camera/phone to take photos that prove nothing then post them on SM.

Apart from the original FB poster saying he witnessed it what other proof do we have as the photos prove nothing towards this van, for all we know the original FB poster could be a local who just had an argument with the van driver and posted them out of spite. Hopefully when he goes to the police with his evidence we’ll hear about it.

Because that is where the gap under the concrete wall is to allow over-topped waves to re-enter the sea.
You can see the gap in the pic.
As I said earlier, to stand with your arms outstretched emptying the cassette directly into the sea is a bit obvious.... To hold it low down and dump on the ground, in the hope it would go under the gap wouldn't be obvious except to anyone close by. The tarmac obviously doesn't slope to the gap.

What am I digging I’m just surprised folk think everything on FB is true.

I’d hate it if someone innocent parked up at night and didn’t see this then someone takes a photo in the morning saying I seen this guy do this, then it gets posted all over SM. How would you feel.

I just can’t grasp why someone would watch it happen then post a photo proving nothing, a guy was caught in Scotland emptying his cassette because someone posted a pic of him doing it.

If the guy that took the photo witnessed it I don’t see your problem . Put as many slants on it as you wish but the only facts to hand are those in the op.

I don't have a problem well none caused by this thread

On the other hand the problem is I can't get my head round why someone would watch the whole despicable act and then post photos proving nothing, no matter what the FB op says it's his word against the van driver and these photos prove nothing no matter what slant you put on it.

PeteH not enough 'wardens' to go round Pete.
They appear to work on an 'area' system.... North side, south side, town center, Falsgrave etc.
If you regularly park in one street you can work out which days they patrol that street and which they don't.
I haven't seen a traffic vulture work on a Sunday for a long time but I think there are one or two on call.
Had it been another day they might have.

I've had a ticket for parking on a drop kerb (my own fault, I never noticed) on a Sunday in a village 5 miles out of town.
Traffic vultures don't patrol villages so all I can think is I was reported and an 'on call' came out.

Every possibility they aren't staying..... Parked and gone to see the wonderful sights of Scarborough..... Just like the next unsuspecting person to park there.
Oh, and they were seen dumping the cassette then reversing.
