....under the bed which is where most of my storage is for the bulky stuff, though there's also storage under one bench at the front.
Basically, in the previous motorhome I used an old exercise mat, I guess that flooring stuff from Halfrauds would do too? Just wondering if anyone had a better idea at all, really its just to absorb a bit of noise but also protect the floor and insides a bit?

Hi I too have stuck down a £7 foam exercise mat but then used a roll of 3M gaffer tape over the top to protect the foam as it will rip easily. The tape allows our deck chairs and plastic containers to be slid across without tearing the foam mat. I stuck the exercise mat down using carpet spray adhesive and it has made our journeys a lot quieter.

Me too, works well.
Me also. Cheap, very light, easy to cut and position and very effective at reducing noise and keeping heat in.

Well it's done, not as neat as I'd like but good enough.

"Where was the thinking behind that?" absolutely!
We are talking motorhome design and build here - cheapest - easiest.

I Love the essentials LOL
You may have missed the essential small batten of wood across the width.:Eeek:
It's there to stop the boxes of wine sliding about:hugs:
All standard wine boxes are that one size.:drinks:
All sparkling wines boxes are slightly bigger. :drinks:
There is another batten of wood at the other other side set to accommodate them.:hugs:

I fitted some cheap linoleum. Protection from spills and wet gear.

Had never given a thought to this until I read this thread. My garage had bits of carpet down but not now, foam interlocking tiles from Wickes, £14 for 6, this was plenty, even left with a spare.
