I promised myself that when I had a moment....

Same I don’t know the difference! What’s a cheese head ? I’ve heard of cross, Ah jockaneezer good chart when can I get a copy ?

A fortnight ago, we completely emptied the 'van.
We now have a guest bedroom filled with clothing, books, toiletries and the like.
We also have a garage filled with chairs, buckets, ramps etc. etc. I'm sure you get the picture.
Yesterday, (a Sunday for goodness sake) Mrs. Emmit suggested we should tidy the garage.
Eh!
What!

I must confess ive never heard of a cheese head before, is it the same as a cross head?

Don’t the Germans call the Dutch Chelse heads as an insult?

e used to call the Dutch"Glogies". They thought we were being funny.

The problem with having garage clear outs is there is always a tiny chance you well need something you have disposed of sometime in the future even if you haven't for the last thirty years
I'm happy to give things away if I think folk can use them
I did get rid of some Austin Mini tools to someone that has a collection of them. I'm sure I will not be working on mini's again, I hated them when I was getting payed for it. I'm not going to do it for fun.
Also some tools to a Harley owner as they well get plenty of use of them:oops:
Having a tidy at least reminds you of some of the stuff you have stashed though

I promised myself that when I had a moment, I would sort out my collection of screws. Separate the countersunk from the cheese headed screws, Done that..... this lockdown does funny things to your mind :roflmto:
Now you've got to organise them by size ....
I have all my medium and small screws in flat hinged lid plastic boxes which are segmented, different sizes, types etc, 2 boxes have flat heads in, the other domed/round etc, plus one for metal washers, another with fibre/other types of washers, nails are in 2 similar containers ... yet another with smaller nuts and bolts etc, etc ... unfortunately when my hubby wants a screw (stop it you smutty lot!) he has the knack of knocking the container over so they all get mixed up again!

Why am I not surprised by your efficiency Mel :giggle:
Unlike others, I am doing the opposite, I want a bigger box of very mixed screws, connectors, washers etc for the van as I could not ever carry or need individual boxes of 200 screws.
The same with my toolboxes, I always try and make sure I have at least a handful of different screws, washers & rawl plugs etc when I have to go fix something away from home.
Trouble is if I haven't used something for a long time, I forget I have it, or cannot find it !:swear::banghead:

I have to go and lie down! Those photos of Nirvanauk 's garage have upset my OCD. I cannot un-see it.
Ah, but just wait til it’s finished, which will be in about 2 weeks. I can’t rush it as I live next to a spring and in winter the walls get very damp. Good job the house doesn’t!

Trouble is when it’s a mess, and can’t be found, down the shop to buy more, also takes so much time to look for it. Nigel always says I know I have one somewhere, grrrrr. I used to put everything in place and tidy up for Nigel but no longer able to do it. He seems to like it in a mess, but does my head in. I like to have a place for everything and everything in its place.

Pamalas idea of tidying up is to pack everything away into impossible to get at places-- takes too long to access anything!!!!!
When she tidies the house she has everything without a proper home moved to the shed!----- anything out in the garden is tidied into the shed!!!----------- but I will be the first to admit that I have never spent time tidying my shed----- my main excuse is lack of time!!!!------ that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!!!!!
Nigel

Life is too short to tidy the shed....unless SWMBO says it needs it :crying1:

Probably best to lock and loose they key 💡
