Well we finally decided on something we DO want so after having a conflab with the seller to check if they are suitable I've ordered a pair of the below covers to protect the cab seats from our mutts (we can't remove the existing covers as we were able to with the Globecar and safely store them until we sold it.) I'll still have a smaller cover on the seat front though that we can take off to shake the sand out occasionally, as we do now.

I sent the seller a photo of our seats and asked about the arm rests and seat belt mount so they are going to put some Velcro on the sides to accommodate them. Unfortunately they only come in black but at least they won't show the muck! At £11.99 delivered (£21.99-£10.00) even if I have to adapt them a bit they're a very good buy. Once they arrive and I fit them I'll report back.
I was sorely tempted to go for the faux fur ones again but they do have a tendency to moult a bit.
