I have a question with regard to the appearance of the site....

I too find the page a bit too white and had to turn down brightness on iPad
Then I have to turn back up for kindle that I have set to a very slight yellow background that I no problems with
I think it’s do with me slightly dyslexic
Jim

I'm really struggling with the Brightness thing. The bits we type on have to be white, they've always been white. Nothing has changed there Everywhere else is a drab grey. Compare this site to some of the most popular in the world, we are positively in the dark compared to them :D

I know exactly what you mean Jim, and I have no answer other than it does seem very bright.. oddly when I remember to select full width* the effect is lessened , possibly because there are bigger bits of blue ?
The text does not seem to stand out so much
Again no idea why, I have played around with size colour and font family but cannot as yet improve the settings you have used

* Full width has to be re-selected every visit as it does not 'remember' the setting

I have only just noticed the left hand bar is in grey
Strangely I have no problem reading that with brightness set to normal
It’s Only on the central white section I can read it all ok it just seems to glare
As I said it maybe a dyslexia thing
I do have problems reading on very bright white paper after a while it gives me headaches but if very light blue or yellow I have no problems at all
But I do really like the new layout now I am getting used to it
You can’t please everyone :D

I have a support ticket in for that I just can't fix it, I don't understand why it's not being cached. Thankfully I prefer the narrow as I'm on a 27inch iMac

Hello my darling sorry to hear about the migraines. A tip for migraine eye problems, I'm sure symptoms vary but on occasions I get a wizzy eye as I call it when I get this zig zag line in my vision, I have been getting it for twenty years plus. When it starts I have some aircraft type blackout things that I put on for ten minutes. You need complete blackness and just wait until the wizzy line goes. It works for me....I keep a few sets of these eye covers in different places should I ever need them.
If I don't do this it tends to just get worse. Give it a try.;)
Do you have to stop driving when wearing the blackout things or can you just crack on...? :D:D:D

I have a question about 'What's New'. It isn't the same as 'Recent' used to be in that if you press it a page of posts appears, with a 'View More' button at the bottom, rather than a numerical count of subsequent pages of new and not so new stuff. If you press 'View More' you get the same messages again, plus some more with the numerical page thing at the bottom. From my point of view and the way I read the forum, the page you get after pressing 'View More' is what I'd like to see when I press 'What's New'.

Given that we now have two ways to access 'What's New', is it feasible to change one to be the equivalent of 'View More' view, which is more like 'Recent'?

I thought I'd found that 'Unread Posts' is what I need, being a link which has whats-new as part of its address but that hides posts which I've read, I think. I like to be able to see ones I've read, so that I can find stuff if I want to go back to it later to post a reply.

Hmmmm.. always got to have a big one aint ya !

Just a small point but why is my new reaction score c.1,750 whereas my previous ratings totalled c.4,400.

Is it just the 'likes' that are being counted now or are we waiting for the system to catch up a bit.

Poor Jim has lost about 30,000 :D

OK, those who want to be able to continue to the next page of what's new when they are at the bottom will now find some page buttons there. However, they will only be there if you enter the what's new page by clicking on the logo, Fun Bus top left.

Perhaps we could have a tutorial in the new magazine. Looking forward to the first edition ??

When I click on What’s new then either new profile posts or latest activity I get a big yellow OOPS ?

Hi Joy

Isn't there something to tick that says "keep me logged in" ?

Yes but I don't want to stay logged in once I log off (if you see what I mean) in case my daughter picks up my phone to borrow it and sees what I'm up to. :) Hope that makes sense .. I mean I don't want to be automatically logged in when I open Motorhomefun and I think that happens if you click that button. :)

Its the same tab, just with a different name. And it's better, much better because it stays put when you scroll so it's always there in the same place. Lots of people have got in the habit of clicking the logo so I ve added that back, but that does not stay on the page. You also have the lightning bolt for recent too, so you're spoilt for choice. Hope you get used to it soon (y)

Can we have a "back to top Tab"? Saves scrolling all the way back up to get the next Item?.

I think it would be handy to have an Ar*e hole emoji, I reckon that would get used a lot, just saying like :giggle:

If you find it , let me know.

I will use it for my avatar.:)

Not if you actually "log out" hang on I will check, OK i'm back when you are logged out your browser will still open up motorhome fun but it won't log you back in and the user won't be able to like or post.
