I'm a bloke, that's my defence for not reading the manual and doing something daft.

My Elddis 115 has a Water outlet on the drivers side, it also has a very clear stickers telling me ot is an outlet.

That didn't stop me trying to fill the water tank from thst outlet with a hose. Now, the pump runs constantly and water is draining from under the outl
What have I done, and how to I fix it please?

Feel free to mock.

Filling from the drain point shouldn’t have caused any damage as it is just a pipe connected to the water tank. Your tank will overflow when full and the water will run out somewhere under the van. As suggested by others it is likely that the water is draining from the water heater. There will be a yellow tap at floor level somewhere inside the motorhome. Check that it is in the closed position.
Thanks everyone. It turned out to be the dump valve, it was stuck. I opened and closed it a few times and all appears well.

I do normally pride myself on doing lots of research prior to major purchases , holidays etc. I read manuals being a woman. Prior to buying our first motorhome I did none whatsoever, I still can’t really believe I was so dumb! I fancied one when we retired and then we had a bit of a sod it moment when a friend died and within 2 weeks we’d bought a 2nd hand Autosleeper symbol.

We had a weekend at Highlands end and then drove to the South of France for 2 weeks. We had no idea what we were doing.

We joined MHF the following year when something went wrong and Google directed us here thank goodness. Over the years you get to know who to listen to and who to have a laugh with. Sometimes they can do both of course :giggle:

I think the problem with a motorhome is that, until you've used one, you don't know what you don't know.

Probably just as well as I would have been terrified to buy one :giggle:

Oh dear
Seen the van on ebay drove from abingdon to Peterborough and bought it within hours

This house was bought in 48 hours and moved into within 28 days the one prior was a shorter turn around as no estate agents involved and the surveyor already had searches I think it was about 2 weeks from hand shake to mine (well mortgage from bank)

Kenya safari 3 weeks was booked on the Wednesday we flew on the Saturday

I'll stop now or you'll need a doctor

I won't mention my father

He asked mother did she fancy emergrating
She asked how long did she have to think about it
He said 6 weeks the flights are booked

7 weeks later I celebrated my birthday in Australia

8 years later we came back for a holiday
Never went back I know now my mother planned it that way

Could have been worse,
you could have put the water hose in the identical diesel tank filler hole, ask me how I know!
