Before drilling any holes in the van I decided to connect it all up and test it.
I’ve checked as many setting as I understand and have 2 sims fitted one with SMARTY one with ID as in the pictures all the leds look ok. Sometimes I can connect to the router other times it doesn’t even find the router.
If it does connect dashboard is showing fairly

I’ve done a factory reset several times all giving very poor or no browser bandwidth.

Any help would be very very much appreciated

I've got a RUT240. Are you able to log onto the router configuration page. This allows you to check all settings, including mobile APNs, and get it to report it's status. Address is likely to be 192.168.1.1 It will be password protected. Can't remember what the default will have been before I changed it.

Check that you have the correct version of the Teltonica router software. I had a similar problem when I first connected my RUT240. I ended up rolling back the software to an earlier version and it's worked faultlessly ever since.

Connect to the router via an ethernet cable, open http://192.168.1.1 and login with admin/admin01(?) and see what's going on in the Teltonika "Overview" page. If youre connected it'll show "Connected" on SIM1 and give you signal strength.

I have the same gave up on it. Called them in the end they said the setting needs to change. It only works when I keep changing the settings. To much faff SIM now in my phone. Wife just watched 4 hrs of the coronation sat here on the Greece Albanian border.
Phone has 2 SIM slots, also in a motorhome not a metal box van.

When mine wouldn't connect to the internet even after a couple of factory resets I did a Google search and one of the Teltonica users forums gave the answer. Then went onto the Teltonica help pages and downloaded the software.

It's probably a couple of years ago since I did this so my memory is a bit vague, but then again I have problems remembering what I did yesterday....the joys of retirement😁

Hope this is of some help.

Yes
I think ive found an issue, sim 1 seems to be faulty, i used it in my phone before but now it doesnt work in my phone or router it appears to cause a conflict when both sims are fitted and failover selected. Ive taken the sim out and left just one in. I am now getting a speedtest.net reading of about 5-7 mbs (the ariel is in the van, and we are at the campout festival. due to the rain a lot of people are in using wifi to stream tv etc so i will do further checks when i get home monday.
Thanks for all your help.

Both ID and Smarty use the Three network. So it's not an ideal pair for diversity anyway.
