Hunting high and low for the Laika letting (2 Viewers)

Hi everyone,

I have been hunting high and low (and I meen VERY low, almost as low as a Poodle) for the Laika letting.

Just wondering if anyone out there knows where I could acquire the LAIKA lettering that is on the front of our Kreos 3007.
They seem to be made of a gel material but being at the front, and the van being 23 years old, some of the lettering is starting to look in a pretty poor state.

The only option, if I can't buy them, is to see if I can make a silicone moulding of the letters and poor a resin mix for the letters.
Oh what fun I get up to! HELLLLLLLLLLP!!!!!

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Might I suggest going on Ebay and search for a seller named TETI_It.
He/she is in Lithuania and does various gel decals and, who knows, there may be a chance they could do a copy of what you require.

What more can I say? Someone has found him for you.
I have bought from him and he uses YouTube to teach how to apply the decals with accuracy. Recommended.

Your looking for "LAIKA lettering that is on the front of our Kreos 3007" are they the same as the one on the rear as your image shows?
As posted there are multiple LAIKA options on ebay etc just not exact match.
Have you contacted ERWIN HYMER GROUP?

Post No. 4 by Jez 1966 gave you the ebay entry by TETI_It.
I suggest you send him (teti) a message via eBay and ask him/her whether he/she could create the decals you require.
You could give dimensions in subsequent conversations so that there could be clarity in what you were requesting.
I found this seller to be very amenable to future work that was not, at the time, on their 'shop' on ebay.

Thanks for your comments. Firstly, yes, the letters on the back are identical to the front. And secondly, I have been in touch with Hymer and even the Laika factory in Italy but they don't have these lettering and can't tell me where they would be available to purchase.
So it looks like I am going to have to try and make them.

Have decided to make the lettering, which worked out quite well.
Very happy and they look the same.

Hi Ridgeway, Thank you for your comment.

I started by buying some 1.5mm thickness rear window pvc (clear) what is used for rear windows in convertables.
I then took photos of the existing lettering on the back of the van and put on computer.
Play around sizing, then print off.
Put the clear pvc over printed lettering and copy and cut.
To put the lines on the back, I used a Sharpie Permanant marker fine point.
Then I painted over the back with Rimmel glittery silver nail varnish (don't tell the wife!)
Once everything was dry, glue on with good 'ol Stikaflex white.
And "Hey presto", job's a good 'un.
(Don't tell anybody my secret!)

my rear gel LAIKA KREOS 3010 is also knackered - and I could not find a replacement either - so I elected to buy some chrome 3d letters and will clean and affix

Good idea AladinsaneUK, but I am trying to keep the van as original as possible, if you know what I mean.
The Kreos lettering is vertually impossible to find!
But glad to hear there is another Laika owner on here. Pleased to meet you
