What's the weather like Mick, heading your way in a couple of weeks.

Nice looking van, although with the distance from your van plus the sound down I'm struggling to see why it annoyed you. I could understand if it's next pitch right in your view with sound turned up.

Live and let live, if the sounds not on loud, can't see the problem, you don't have to look at it. Enjoy your stay and have another beer. (y)

Tiffin Allegro if I'm not mistaken, stylised T on the entry door, along with glass panel at the bottom..

Spot on Mr Trekkin.
Allegro bus is correct.
He hasn't got the t.v. on though, the door is shut.
I'm very aware of other campers when I have mine on.
In fact when the football or speedway is on anybody can join me for a can of lager !!!!!
And.....they do.
Can't really see the problem.

Regards

John P.

Seems like a waste of lecky to me - I don't see the point of leaving TVs on when they are not being watched but some of our friends do and then they complain about their expensive electricity bills.

I wonder if a Sony remote control will work from your pitch. Putting the screen on standby for them when they're not watching could work although they may get a little stressed if they found out.

Ok , you are at home , , pick a dry day at about 13:00hrs, you'll need an extension cable and a long aerial lead
Take your LCD / plasma TV into the garden , turn it on and press mute , leave garden and go out for about 6 hrs ..................

" now " can you see the " problem " ?

Cant see how it can be so expensive....

Average large screen tv will be around 60watts.
multiply that by 10hrs veiwing time ....600watts
average price of 1000watts of electric is 16p so it will cost approximately 90 pence per 10 hrs.

7 quid a week.

Nope.....Still no problem. It's doesn't seem to be in your line of vision....If you want it to be then that's your prerogative.
If you could hear it then again totally a different matter.
I personally would concentrate on having a great time away in my motorhome.

Then next year they will moan cos site fees have gone up due to leckie usage!!!
Agreed. The site I am on at the moment has leccy meters which I think is brilliant. £10 a night plus £1 in the meter. My £1 has lasted 3 days so far. Owner tells me it was because people were using so much electric he would have had to put the site fees up so much as it would put people off. He had people using tumble driers and electric heaters etc....

This way he keeps the site fees down and you only pay for the electric you use. My £1 in the meter put the dial up to 10 (no idea what the units are measured in) and it is now down to 9.

Bleeding hot, but the site is very quiet, apart from a nearby

festival (y)

Glad to hear it, will keep an eye out for you when we get down there. Got to look up Clive Holloway too somewhere near El Raco B/dorm apparently.
