Neither copilot nor google maps seem to mention if I hit a ulez area when plotting a route from Bruges to the Black Forest.

Might be because I don't hit one, but I'd like to be sure.

Does anyone have a mapping system (not involving buying hardware) that warns when you're planning takes you through a LEZ or ULEZ?

Obviously I can use a paper map and a list of ulez zones in each country, but it would be far easier if something just told me :)

I know google maps doesn;t do it automatically, because Berlin has one and I get this :

edit I know that says "M4" but that's the start of the journey above Bruges :)

As you selected the no tolls, the route will
Warn you before you enter a LEZ zone. It works every time even in London

Sorry I was not clear in my post - I want to know at the planning stage...

Copilot does warn you in the UK, but ensure you have the latest maps update and you have LEZ's set to avoid.

Ah ok, I see it now, it's in the vehicle setup section, thanks. I have to turn that on when I get into Germany, as I'm fine in UK, France & Belgium.

I was just too late to get my German sticker as I'm off in a week!

You can buy one at the equivalent of a German mot (TUV) station, just take your V5 or CoC in and it’s about €6

Yeah, just discovered that. Got a mate in Germany, but he doesn't drive so I didn't bother asking him at first :)

Do these warnings distinguish between vehicle weights and engines ? E.G. London's ULEZ which applies to all vehicles and the LEZ which applies to vehicles over 3.5t and are not EURO 5 or 6.

With copilot you can set environmental, ultra low emission and congestion zones to avoid, allow or warn whilst driving. If set to avoid it will warn you at the route planning stage. It doesn't know the emission status of your vehicle.
