How to drink Beer Warning

Ti
For gawd sake they don't drink that much.
Reminds me of this ?

An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar and each orders a pint of beer. When the drinks arrive they notice that all three pints have a fly in
them.

The Englishman just looks at his pint in disgust and pushes it away.

The Irishman picks out the fly with his fingers, throws it on the floor and proceeds to drink his beer.

The Scotsman picks the fly out of his pint, and holds it over the drinking saying, "Come on you little git, spit it out!"

Do here,,can't understand it,,fashion.BUSBY.

If they poured their 330ml bottles into a glass they would realise how much they are paying compared to a 500ml bottle.

Here in Poland in a bar by a lake, one can still get a 1/2lt of 5% lager for just over £1.00. Equivalent in S/market is 60p(chilled)

Poland still gives change on sales equivalent to 0.2p Sterling - yes you heard me right - about an old farthing. They value money here - even the young, learned to, from Grandma, Father etc. - had to. Just as some of us had to in '40s, '50s, '60s.

Crikey that's real serious, I feel for you fella, how much beer do you think the wasp got away with?

Been stung twice in two days...little buggers. One was stuck behind the tongue...but on my trsiner not in my mouth. My dog is getting great at munching them from the air. Then wonders why it hurts him and licks the air for 5. I have him as beer protector ?

The lesson learnt carry medication and check your bottle or glass before drinking.

A cautionary note:

A bee keeper acquaintance got stung on his lip... and had a reaction similar to yours.

He was advised to carry an eppi pen....

Some months later he was tending his bees (clad in protective clothing) however, he managed to get stung just above his ankle..

(He had left his eppi pen in a draw in the kitchen.. )

The rest of this is best guess... Coroner etc.

He didn't bother getting his eppi as it was a minor sting on his leg... so carried on..

At some point he went into aphelectic shock an died... His partner was not home at the time...

A sad tale but true....

Not trying to scare anyone just saying don't be too blaise about a reaction like that; as Steve did... Thinking it will be ok.

Bottles, cans, buckets, how frightfully working class. Only ever out of a chilled straight glass. :restmycase:

The CORRECT way to drink Newcastle Brown Ale is to pour it from the bottle into a Schooner glass, which is like a half pint glass, and keep topping up the glass. These instructions used to be printed on the bottle labels, don't think they are now. Repeat when glass is empty until you can no longer form the correct words to order another.

This was an educational announcement to help Southern Softies.
As a Southern softie, who was dragged up by fully fledged Geordie and founder member of the Long Benton Aggro Boys, that this information is entirely correct and is also used to show fellow drinkers you were buying the brown nectar as your bottle remained on the table.

As for bee stings, I am a beekeeper and, in the words of my Doc, suffer with mild allergic reaction.
Here is me with one sting to the eye

And one on the lip for a Homer Simpson impression

Doc saw these and described them as mild. He does know what he is talking about as his son is extremely allergic to bee stings and no epipen given, Advised to just take antihistamines

Had a appointment with the doctor and he cannot prescribe a epipen unless you have a history of anaphylactic shock.
He advised if you think you are in shock to get to hospital ASAP they will then inform him if you do suffer from the condition he can then prescribe one.
In my case we did the correct thing, Antihistamine and rest.

Cans are worse than bottles.

Always pour into a glass. Only oiks drink from bottles and cans.
Unfortunately youngsters do drink from bottles as it’s easier to keep with you rather than run the risk especially girls of having their drinks spiked. The world we live in now.
