The date code on the tyres is the date they were manufactured,not the date fitted,which could be months later.

So, am I correct in saying the tyres on my MH (see image below) were made sometime around April 2016. If correct this confirms the same JIT process is adopted for relatively small producers of vehicle when compared with the car industry, as my MH was registered in June 2016.

Yep,week 14 in 2016. That’s about the only thing I know about tyres!!!!

Why not look at the certificates of Conformity you should one from the base vehicle manufacturer if it's a Ductato you will have a Fiat one and you should have one from the converter both will have the build dates on them. So you can see when the chassis was made and when it was converted.

Neither CoC for mine reveals the date of manufacture of the base vehicle or date of conversion. The Fiat CoC is dated 27/12/2016 and the converter's CoC is dated 27/02/2017. So, a bit of guesswork.

The base vehicle was on a list available to the dealer to order from in October 2016 so I have inferred that it was one of a large batch of Ducatos pre-ordered from Fiat by the converter. The base vehicle would have been manufactured before the date of the Fiat CoC. The conversion probably took place sometime between December 2016 and end February 2017 when the converter issued its COC. By the time the finished PVC had been shipped to the dealer and was available for us to view it was May 2017. The registration and completion of the sale took place in June so the base vehicle was well over 6 months old at date of first registration.

The Michelin tyres are probably even older. I haven't checked the date of manufacture of the tyres which must be hiding on the inner sidewall. They look in good nick. No visible cracking or perishing.

Maybe look to replacing them in 2022 which would also be cambelt change due, so molto expensivo year soon. Premium bonds ... Ernie, take pity on me.

Bought a 13 plate hobby MH 9 months old on a Ford chassis vin plate said left factory 2007 so stood somewhere 5 years tyres 2007 also

just adds to the data.
