How often do you folk wash your Moho/ PVC? I must wash mine between 15 and 20 times a year on return within a few days and a few days before we leave and if away from any length of time I wash it where I am pitched.
I do the roof about 4 times a year, but I think I am a bit anal or is this the norm?

Only 2 days ago, Irene and me were walking across the field at Stratford, on route to Spoons and a few drinks..
We passed a guy up on his roof cleaning the van..

" Look at that w+++ker" or words to that effect came from my mouth.. :whistle2: :whistle2:

I always wash mine when i sell it..(y)

Dave, you need a new hobby....

Ours is freezer van white, so usually on return from a trip, never on site, there are too many other things to do, so on average it gets cleaned 10 times a year.....

When it needs it which is probably 6 times a year and then give the front a wash after most journeys to get the bug splatters off. Roof once or twice a year.

For 20 years old it really does come up well 😎

See that's why I don't do the roof when parked up so might get away with the name calling then again 😁

Properly - 3 or 4 times a year. Depends how dirty it gets. If I am not using it for a while I will do it slowly - roof one week, back the next, right hand side a few weeks later - etc. Can't do it all at once - it's big and it's boring work!!!!

I rather do it in one hit saves getting the gear out each time but I do follow your methodology ie front, rh side, rear, lh side 👍🏻

Mine is metallic grey and doesn’t show the grime. I try and wash it as often as possible, but when I do I realise how dirty it had become.

Generally it gets washed every couple of months.

When it rains.
Actually this is really sad I know but I hate driving it in the wet not bothered by rain when parked up.
I can just feel all that shit road grime undoing my hard work when driving in the rain 2/3hrs work undone in 5mins oh and don't mention the salt in the winter that's why I go abroad 🙈 😁

Wash it fully including the roof twice a year.

Wash the general side ( not including roof) about another 3 times.

Don’t polish it though. We’ll not get.

The car gets washed about twice a year 😳😳

The motorbike - well that’s another story 😂😂

Dave, I think you need another hobby 😳😳

Maybe two or three times a year. (The roof just once)

As an earlier poster mentioned; seeing the gradual deterioration of the paint finish, decals, and trim, is quite depressing, and life is far too short.

I do, however, ensure that the windscreen, rear view mirrors, number plates, and all front, side, and rear lights are clean and shiny !!

Meanwhile; what amazes me are the 'conditions' stated on the packaging of the various cleaning and polishing mediums.

Do not use in full sun. Do not use if rain is expected. Do not use if the surface is hot. Do not allow to contact glass, if it does remove immediately with so-and-so, etc. etc. etc.

It's a bit like the lawn feed and weed that I have had for three years sitting in my garage, while I wait for the right weather conditions in order to apply it.

Do not apply if the grass is wet. Do not apply if rain is expected. Do not apply during a drought. Do not apply in frosty conditions. Do not apply in windy conditions to avoid drift onto borders, etc.etc. etc.

It's all jolly good fun, init ?

Global warming isn't making life any easier in this sort of scenario.:LOL::LOL:

As an aside, I'm waiting to see who is the first plonker to blame global warming (the massive induced atmospheric disturbance) for the current power outage in Sapin and Portugal.

:giggle:;)

When we came back from Spain in January. On getting off the shuttle, after about 2800 miles, the van wasn’t pristine but in surprisingly good condition.
On getting home, U.K. roads, it was almost black. I washed it immediately as was embarrassed at how dirty it looked.

I have a great mobile guy who does the whole thing roof et al with wax and polish at the beginning of each year, then I do the front, back and sides probably 2/3 times a year but do the front after every trip to remove bug splat

3x I think.
(its 5yo)

Ours is black. Its better not to wash frequently and get swirl marks on the paintwork! And the dirt protects the paint from stone chips and the like :)

Two or three times. Theres a reason i buy the grey silver as it dont look quite so dirty. And, i don't like doing it too often as each time I see more of the Fiat paint peeling off. :(
Same here, mine is silver and my son colour coded the bumpers and side trims for me and although it looks good the bits where paint is peeling off lets it down

Ours has only had its first wash this week  but it has been undercover for 3 months while we have been away without it :( normally I guess it might be 10 times a year or possibly more, on site I usually give the front and the side skirts a clean with a detailing spray, the roof gets done with Aquawax or similar detailing spray rather than washing.

I’d wash mine every week if my arms would let me…😒

But I wash and polish it at every opportunity when the sun shines… someone once asked me why I polish my vehicles so much as it’s always shiny, I said I’m not polishing I’m making it waterproof….☺️

A quick wash down every time we return from a trip. A wash again, along with an internal clean before every trip. Full polish, within the above, twice a year along with a roof clean. I actually enjoy doing it as it makes for a decent bit of exercise. It is stored under cover so it is mainly dusty if it has been sitting for a while. I may wash it down a couple of times on a trip depending on the weather to keep the road grime down.

4-5 times a year.
Once at the beginning of the season, usually done professionally.
Maybe a two or three times in the summer.
Once at the end of the season

Whist I have done it outside my house its not really practical, as we have no drive, and live on a hill, so the hose pipe has to be run through the house, and the ladder has to be in the road or on the pavement, both of which block access.
A slippery roof on a slope is not easy.

So it's only really possible when I have access to a yard or other suitable washing place.
Otherwise it's the local Albanian car wash, but they don't do the roof.
