There was an overspend of £87.49 above budget set aside due to the mostly wifey additions of (tat) soft furnishing type bits. The blokey tech stuff was, as expected, under budget   :ROFLMAO:

This is considerably less than we spent on additions to our 1st MH we bought in 2005.

We have spent nothing on upgrades.

We bought a very nice new Hymer Exsis-i 580 that was ready to use as it came out of the dealers showroom.

We did transfer the Lithium batteries from the previous Exsis-i.

No need for anything else. It all does just what we need.

I've had my (one previous owner) 27yr old Compass for 12 years and apart from installing Gaslows (I only tour abroad, mostly off grid). It's still bog standard as it came from the converter. Just a single 95Ah lead acid Varta leisure battery with a split charge relay which has never let me down, although I did replace it about 5 years ago. No 'Anxiety Panel, just a green and a red LED to indicate battery condition, no 'modern' electrical domestic stuff or improvements/upgrades at all - I'm a minimalist.

Reminds me of the character in the Harry Enfield TV show, "Im considerably richer than yew"x:-)
Ha Forget "extra's" for campers, try boats, its ridiculous! The last boat I ordered I bled money lol Raymarine navigation and radar package £24K Teak for the fly bridge £18K electric winch for the tender boom £9K all things you need!

Mind you I argued with Porsche when I ordered a 911 for my wife, they wanted to know if we wanted the three spoke "sports steering wheel, or the four spoke with air bag, £899 or £699?" I asked what comes as standard was told nothing!

How can it be an option when you don't get a steering wheel as standard?

What a liberty!

That's £6000 plus more than my van cost me 8 years ago. BUSBY.

One of the reasons I retired was the pile of paranoid emails all "demanding my immediate attention" on a Monday morning with about 30 screen shots of solar yield over the previous 36 -48 hours with copious neurotic notes detailing how many times the toilet was flushed and if it were a number one or a number two!!

It would take me ten minutes to read the diatribe and twenty minutes to try to work out what the writer thought the problem actually was!

In essence it hasn't been sunny!

Too much information in the hands of people that don't understand the information is pointless

If you have to ask what it means, you don't need the information!

Have fitted Gas It bottles..had van re-upholstered..fitted compressor fridge..and a couple of aluminium storage boxes on the rear.plus i won a lithium battery at half price on a draw on here..Best buy were two comfortable folding chairs to sit on in the Spanish sun ..BUSBY.

400w solar 120
Inverter 110
Compressor fridge 450
Victron solar controller 150
Victron Orion b2b 270
Maxxfan 300
And sundries 200
Lucky enough to be able to fit all myself so saved a fortune
All what I’ve fitted has been worth every penny..

Want and need a lithium battery at 450 but need to save up for it now and wait till next summer…😎

I've got all these as a factory fit other than the Air con... But plus full air.

However, I need to spend some money on something but cant decide between 360 cameras and a diesel heater.

If you need to spend some money on something, I can help you.
You need to buy a new Eberspacher diesel heater that supplies both heat and hot water.

Not only will I look after it for you but you will have a Christmas feeling that money can't buy.
The grateful thanks of a poor Orphan Hobo! 😄

Gaslow, reversing camera, mifi, tracker installed by dealer when we bought the van. Not sure of cost. Oh, and a power point in the garage.
Subsequently, 230 ah of lithium and associated work. I think about £1300.

I think you may have underestimated? 😄

When we bought our one owner mh two years ago the previous owners had gone overboard with upgrades, all I’ve done is upgrade the the standard mattress for a pocket sprung one and fitted habitation aircon oh and safefill gas bottles

I have fitted

Sterling B2B
1 x Gaslow 11kg cylinder
80w solar panel

All fitted by a friend who got my 33' sailing boat in return ;):giggle:

Plus several ratchet straps

I don't know the cost but they have all proved worthwhile.

Is it not worth going the extra few ££ and getting full air for the rear (2C)? You have a small window for levelling👍 I have VB front and full air on rear and it rides pretty good👍.
Oh and I have jacks also😉🤭🤭
You are looking at over £5k for full air on the rear so not really worth it, as you know I was going for full 4C air but with the VB front struts it drives so well I'm going for semi air on the rear for the rear axle uprating.

I don't think I've upgraded anything apart from the semi air on the rear axle and tyres.

All the rest is standard?

Oh! and the Fiamma awning. 🤔

Mind you I argued with Porsche when I ordered a 911 for my wife, they wanted to know if we wanted the three spoke "sports steering wheel, or the four spoke with air bag, £899 or £699?" I asked what comes as standard was told nothing!
It's the Kraut's I tell yer, On a my Carthago 16" wheels are an option but they won't sell you one with 15" wheels. Electric heating on the Truma is a £650 option, guess what - you can't buy it without.

Just an addition, or a few

When we very first got the moho it came with a Webasto diesel heater, twin reversing cameras, winter screen covers, wifi, Moving Intelligence alarm and tracker upgraded to lifetime sub

I’m considering 360dg cameras, a waste drain camera (already purchased) but what we really want is an Avtex sound bar so i’ve just placed a wanted ad in the classifieds if anyone’s got one

cheers and Merry Christmas everyone

I'd have told them where to shove the porche as not fit for purpose.

I love all the upgrades ( or are they just home improvements?) that people have done to make however much time they spend in their vans, just that little, or a lot, more suitable to the way they want to 'motorhome'. I would like to think I'm not envious, jealous or questioning about anyone elses motorhome or their spend budget, but of course I am a little, though I don't begrudge anyone for making their motorhome that little bit better for themselves.

Keep the lists coming AND adding the cost is really helpful, as I do have a few things on my wish list !!
