How many books have you read during lockdown?

Before his death Tom Clancy was a favourite. Before his death James Herbert horror books.

Generally I read two -three books a week from the library, but since March they have been moving the library to the new location, where they are also collating/gathering the Cornish birth/death/Parish/council/ land/wedding/ into one place.
Supposed to open in May, looks like because of the CV19, things will be a tad longer.

Meanwhile! I've been re - reading the contents of our bookcase, my stuff mostly, military stuff, Bernard Cornwall viking stuff, Deborah Challinor, Christopher Pugsley and the like. Lot of cook books too, I'll find a decent easy recipe, gather the stuff and knock it up .
Ian Parmenter and his "Consuming Passions" books are a particular favourite.

I read more books than usual, but am currently trending on stories which don’t require too much attention.
plantaganets, crime fiction (not American) rubbish and stuff, free kindle books, ut now I’ve found BorrowBox linked to my local library

I have been avoiding dystopian fiction as it has felt a bit too real. Wondering if I should return to read Jean Plaidy, I read a lot of her novels in my teens and Lucy Worsley mentioned her today in a podcast as an author who isn’t held in high regard but said there is lots of great historical research within her novels.

A book I have reread is Josephine Tay's "The Daughter of Time". I also found "Brat Farrar" which is another of hers. I must check out other titles that I haven't read yet - I know I have read a few of hers.

For sheer fantasy I like April White - and like Jenben I am avoiding "end of humanity" books.

At present I am reading Janet Dawson's Jeri Howard Series. Sheer escapism :)

Thanks to all for suggestions of authors :) some are new to me :)

I have just bought a 4 set of Jean Plaidy books for 99p each to see if they are anything like I remember them.

I have read the owners manual for the van! Not many books a library shut normally 3 - 4 a week, but can say I have got my monies worth out of Readly .
