How long would a gas bottle last to keep chill off

Absolutely no need to waste energy and money. As already said a little ventilation is all thats needed To stop a building up of moisture. Keep cupboards and internal doors open and crack open a couple of windows or vents.
Had several caravans and never had an issue. Condensation is caused when warm air meets colder surfaces.

I would think a dehumidifier would be a better option if you have mains hook up available, used one on a boat for years with no damp issues and always nice and fresh when you went on board after long layups. On the water is worst place for damp and surprising how much water was collected. No hook up in motorhome storage so now use crystal water traps and seem to work OK.

With a dehumidifier you need to dump the water collected.
I've had boats for years and not bothered with heaters or dehumidifiers.
Good ventilation is a simpler and cheaper alternative.

I run my dehumidifier during the winter months when the van is parked up. I let it drain into my shower waste and leave the grey drain tap open. I know many on here don’t like them, but I find it works very well and moves the air around the van too, so we don’t need to remove the contents, and so is always ready to be used. Yes the van has some vents, but it’s air tight enough to effect the Maxxfan that was recently fitted.
