Came across a couple of pictures, one taken on the 14/6/22, of a temp on my table on the decking up at my static at glasson dock near Lancaster, it was 34 degrees in direct sun, on the 14/6/23 I took the same pic in the same situation, it registered 39 degrees, this year on the 14/6/24 it registered 14 degrees !

Just entered our fourth week in western France. Apart from a couple of hot days in St Emilion the temps have been in the low twenties at best. Only two days lost to rain, but it’s still not been what we hoped for.

I was in Edinburgh last week, Monday to Friday it was at least 4/6 degrees cooler than first predicted but that was ok as it was better for the dogs.

Managed an hour outside on the chairs sheltered by the van, until the drizzle returned. The north Devon coast is getting the brunt and doesn’t look much better next week. We’ll head to the South side and hope it’s a bit better

Here in Gran Tarajal, Fuerteventura we are at 31C so I have turned on our Bergstrom air conditioner to see how it copes. After 20 minutes the temperature in the van has dropped to 30. Should only take around an hour to get it down to 25 but there is a blazing sun out there, so not sure if it will happen but we will see.

Had to pull over for a bit near Strasbourg yesterday. Only the second time I ve done that from memory in the motorhome. Absolutely torrential. Rivers are really high. Got Luxembourg area and sun is shining ..... With wind.

Friends of mine are at Silverstone, went Thursday, Saturday morning one of them wanted to come home, it seems that around 03.00, there was a Biblical (his words) thunderstorm!
He has been persuaded to stay because no-one will bring him home and , after yesterday's practice, he might enjoy it?

I think it, maybe, the first/last time for him?

Nope I took the photo out of the window on my van. That quaint white oblong appears to be a builders trailer with some sort of aluminium box lashed to it. The occupants seem happy enough though
