Although I've been a member for quite a while, I don't really post much - not helped by the fact that I don't know how to post! Apologies for the dumb questions, but for example ;

1. How do you copy a post, and paste it onto your own post?

2. Very often I see the name of a member highlighted / in bold - to include them in a post. How do you do that?

3. Is there anywhere on the Fun forum that explains how use the forum, so that I don't have to ask dumb questions like those above?

Thank you

Text can be copy and pasted, ctrl c and ctrl v on a PC or press and drag cursors to highlight on say an android phone

If you want to alert another funster put a @ in front of their username

If you click on the help button lots is explained in there

1 to copy and paste just click the quote at the bottom of the post, you can highlight part of the post and click quote, you can also do multiple quotes by clicking quote on each post then click insert quote to post

2 to highlight a name of a member so they get a notification just use the @ before their name, example @name, normally the @ will disappear once posted Willieboy.

3 I think there is a beginner guide in the resource section I’ll tag Jim who I’m sure will pop in to help.

Do you mean the 'quote' and 'reply' where another person's post appears?

Like this:
Found "Make Your First Post" in Resources

Many thanks again Figaro and lorger

You can reply to someone's post using the 'reply' at the bottom of their post, or you can press 'quote' then stick it in a post.

Either way, the person gets notified.

Have a go using mine or your own posts, it is your thread after all!
