At home, I have a mini gym; treadmill, rower, spinning bike, dumbells and slam balls. When we're away, it's difficult to keep my cardio and strength training going. So, how do you guys maintain your cardio and strength while away? I don't take a bike with me, so I'm looking at ways to keep fit while in the MH or a hotel room (without a fitness room). I'd like to be able to do a full body workout in a very small space. Is it achievable or am I searching for the Holy Grail?

There are a few good workout apps you can download on your phone for varying levels of workouts.
Even suitable in a small space

It's not a holy grail, look up all over body workouts with no equipment there are own bodyweight exercises, sit ups, press ups, leg raises etc, and supplemented with good regular walks all work

What about running and a TRX training. Far more difficult than it looks.

Walking at pace , I have Nordic walking poles for when I am walking alone. When I worked away a lot I carried resistance bands in my travel bag .

Often in villages or towns France there are walking routes with exercise equipment along it .

If you're only away for a few weeks, why worry. Just walking will be enough until you get home & continue your regime.
Your fitness won't vanish overnight.

I don't want to walk out on my own in strange places. I just don't feel safe.

I would love to go for a run but I just don't feel safe on my own in strange places. When I was younger, I'd run anywhere, up to 13 miles, but I just don't feel safe anymore. I lost a lot of confidence after I was ill for 3 years

Kettle bell - easy to carry in the garage.

Wouldn't I need different weights for different muscle groups? I don't want to / can't carry a lot of heavy equipment.

As above, I've lost my confidence in being out on my own after being ill for 3 years. If I still had confidence, I'd go running but it's just not possible.

Thanks but I don't have confidence to walk on my own and it's not something i can get back.

A few years
We’ve got TRX to take away in the van. So far the intention has been stronger than the inclination - well, I did break my ankle that trip to be fair.

We also have a stack of bodyweight cards - you can just deal yourself 10 and do a few rounds.

At home we have a Peloton bike (cue the “how much??!?” brigade in responses :) - and they do a whole lot of exercises we can do in the van - bodyweight, Pilates, yoga.

No not really, 1 or 2, and do higher reps as long as the muscle groups are being worked it's good.
U can do them even without weights

Park runs can be good for keeping fitness up but its only once a week (sat) but it may boost your confidence to gou out on your own for a walk.
There are usually loads of people there and is very well run.

Tbh, I think your fitness always takes a small hit anyway when you're touring around for 6 weeks at a time its just somewhat inevitable.
I find that cycling (I know you dont have a bike) into town centres and walking miles around tourist sites offsets that as much as possible but I just take the hit and enjoy the holiday, plenty of time for Garmin training regimes when you get back.

I used to organise my local parkrun when I lived in the UK, as a way of not feeling 'lazy' on my rest day (which happened to be a Saturday :) ). But I don't live in the UK any more.

Parkruns (as you probably know) are all over the world.
There will be one near you.

Oh, how I would love to swim again!! Unfortunately, I've been advised by my eye surgeon not to wear goggles, as it would increase the pressure in my eyes and, at the moment, they're very much under control (usually around 11 each). There's no way I want to risk Glaucoma again. It's a shame because I loved swimming.

Have you thought about a diving mask, fit is around the face and not directly near the eyes, so loose that if you suck in through your nose it will probably just stick to your face without the straps.
Not great for exhaling if you're doing the front crawl though.

Right now, I'm near Brescia, Italy and there isn't one.
When I'm at home, the nearest one is 2 hours away.
There are non at all in Spain, where I'll be in 2 weeks.
