How do you get the awning light to come on when approaching and exiting

..... and driving down the motorway at night, every time you are overtaken the hab door light would come on .....

I think best you get one of those PIR garden lights and simply put it near your door when on a camp site.
There are some that are on steaks so can be driven into the ground, some work on solar so you don't need to recharge every day.

Make sure it's not to bright and also not set off by every person passing your pitch on the way to the loo at 1am
(Otherwise you may find it gets 'accidently' run over by one of your neighbours!)

My Knaus light switch on the panel is up for on and down for on with sensor activated.
