How do secure yours?

Can the axle-chain be seen by the average Joe? Are they not likely to try and drive off, without having seen said chain??[/QUOTE]

They would have to get down on there knees to see it because the back end of Moho is in the garden on concrete plinths and would only move about 3 or 4 inches

Mine is on the drive with our car parked at right angles immediately in front of it, behind a locked gate with a locked rising post in front of the gate, has a wheel clamp fitted, has CCTV and flood lights, Growler and non starter.

always put alarm on when we are both away from van and depending on site will fit wheel clamp also.

That should keep them away.

When we were going to Australia and NZ for 6 months we sold our motorhome (Transit based) before leaving. As we sold it we spotted the motorhome we'd always wanted at a great price on ebay. Couldn't resist so bought it. Parked it on the drive and ordered a ton of sand to placed right next to the front bumper bar. It was going nowhere.
Wish I'd known that ... I needed a load of sand and had 6 months to collect in in a bucket. ...

.... a load of readymix concrete would be more secure!

Wow, where do you live ? Downtown Detroit ?

Hardly lock ours they would do more damage trying to get in and if they really wanted it they wouldn't stop at anything! At home there is a car parked in front of it,on campsites mainly left with locked front doors and side door unlocked, done this for 20 years no probs.(do lock everything on some sites we go too)
