From a scale from 1 to 10 , and 10 being very bored, I am certain that 1 suits me best.

Last week I decided to tidy up the last 25 years of motor home bits and, at the time necessary, accessories, at least four barbecues, two or three gas ring cookers, tables, chairs, 12v washing machine, wind breaks, you name it’s there, from the loft above my garage/workshop, accessed by an extendable step ladder.

My wife calls me a “ hoarder “ I call it “ you never know when you might need it again “.

Well after thinking that I could let my grand sons have some of the camping chairs and tables, I stood, well I thought I had, on the second step down pulling a fold up table when the steps slid away and I exited the hatch with my legs through the treads and hit the floor 8 feet below, “ f——-g hell “ do I hurt. I lay in a heap for a few seconds thinking, I do not want to go to A&E it could be worse than this. I untangled myself fro the steps, sat and looked at my leg, skin ripped fro my shin from just below my knee nearly to the ankle, hip and back hurt, after a minute I made my way to the kitchen, wife says what the hell have you done ?

Copious amount of antiseptics cream and a breathable dressing, wife then noticed my other leg was a mess as well, arm and elbow needed attention as well. I then took some Paracetemol and called it a day. It was difficult even lying in bed for two or three nights but a week on and the dressings changed a few time I am not aching too much now.

All this just to avoid getting bored.

How bored are you all already I’ve been that bored I have gone through all the boxes in my shed with screws in and sorted them all into different sizes now that’s boredom
It's just a thought, but would it not be better to put the screws of the SAME size into boxes, that would be easier to find what you wanted

Sorry about your dilemma. I put informative instead of funny. Though I did laugh a little.

Hope you're getting better. (y)

Not bored at all, been getting with jobs I kept putting off. Not made much difference to us as we are often home this time of year. Only difference really is not being able to nip out when you want to, the only thing we miss is not being able to go dancing 2 or 3 times a week like we normally would.
We're missing the dancing too. Going to put the cd player in the garden and do some rock and roll and maybe the Mayfair Quickstep to River Dance. We only have a small garden so it will be dancing round the rotary drier thats in the middle of the patio.
Don't know what the neighbours will think but we don't have room in the house.
Apart from that I can't say I'm exactly bored because we have some good walks near us and finding lots to do in the house. Just feel a bit restricted I suppose and missing friends.
Keep getting slightly scared feelings too which is why I'm up and browsing MHF with a nice cup of calming tea.

Bored? Geez. The driveway needs constant weeding, the car cleaning and spraying underneath after the winter, windows need regular cleaning, sides of the windows need brushing out after the winter, paint on the barge boards need sanding and touching up, lawn needs continually mowing, beds need continually weeding, the garage needs tidying, the fences need cuprinol, the rear patio has some small weeds coming through and need to be repointed, the dog needs walking twice a day and at least 2 x training sessions, the motorhome needs moving so the tyres don't flatten, the motorhome roof needs washing, the food shopping needs sorting, meals need to be made and eaten, dishwasher needs filling and emptying, clothes, bedding and towels need regular washing and drying, there's always ironing, beds to changed, dusting and hoovering, pilates exercises every day for 15 minutes, 1 hour of TV at least, face time chats with friends and family, practise the guitar for 20 mins to keep your fingers active, always take a photo everyday, 30 minute book reading, sleep 7 hours.

Who the bleep has time for jigsaws?

One good thing. We're usually away by now and not back until July so this has given us the chance to see the garden in the spring and see what birds come in to it.
Also we've had some good chats with neighbours (keeping the distance of course) and with people we'd nevr have met before on our permitted walks.
It's amazing how people generally are positive and just getting on with it. A lot of DIY and gardening going on.

I'm keeping myself busy using Design Spark mechanical (RS components free cad software) on my laptop.
I'm designing stuff for the motorhome from small parts that are expensive from Hymer (what isn't expensive from Hymer? ?). And anything else that I can imagine that might be useful.
Then I'm going to 3D print them when my new printer and filament arrive. ?
RS also sent out a request for those with printers to make face shields for the NHS, so if I get good enough at printing (it's all new to me, I'm a total beginner), then I'll get going doing as many of those as I can.
Bored? Nope, I always keep myself busy and my mind occupied. ?

Chockswahay why not Start a nonsense thread , that’ll stop you being bored!!??
Haha :giggle: Actually I'm not bored at all, I just thought the sound clip I posted is so funny that I wanted to share it here. I love 'Cabin Pressure' and as a pilot can readily relate to it. In that particular episode I am reminded of how incredibly boring I found airline flying!

We have loads to do here in lockdown land as we are living on the boat, never a dull moment(y)

Bought a DA polisher to tidy the m home and cars up, it’s becoming very time consuming and addictive as the results are very impressive, only problem is my decals look tatty and need replaced now
