Club Tropicana in Havana, loved Cuba. Very happy time

A great evening out for us in1998, marred only by being given a big fat Cuban cigar on entry. I'd just done cold turkey on the habit, so I fondled it all evening, brought it home, and gave it away to my best friend!

Lovely to have a ? positive thread :)

The start of our special trip last year where my sister took a sabbatical and joined us for 6 months. Blaye, France.

The answer is indeed simple, sadly the whole process needed to get the end result is not.
How to take photograph's of city centre streets with no one in the shot. Answer = Get up at dawn and take the photo's before people are up and about.
As to your original question, the shots are HDR shots, High Dynamic Range. A series of 5 or 6 photo's taken with the camera on a tripod and for each shot you simply adjust the shutter speed to get 5 or 6 different exposures making sure to expose the1st shot for the highlight areas (sky) and last shot for the shadows thereby getting a range of shots that expose for all areas. These shots are them "merged" in a specific photoshop process where you can adjust all aspects of the digital image. You can if you have a "photoshop" program do this with a single image by adjusting the colour layers.
If you want to discuss it further you can private message me.

Its certainly one of the best, done it several times and it's close between London and Berlin for my favourite large City marathon.
Would love to do more. Did that and dropped off. However, with time on my hands..must get back out. Turned to the dark side and went to a road bike. Not going into that though. It ruffles feathers haha ?? Berlin must be amazing

I like a bit of cycling and will probably get into it more as I'm not sure I'll be doing many marathons with the new Hip although I do fancy one just to prove I've still got it, or as the OH says stupidity

I've done Berlin twice and both times it was amazing, far better for the spectator with it being a circular course and close to underground stations. Running through the Brandenburg gate at the end is just amazing, the estimate around 500000 spectators watch it and with a band every KM it really is a special event.
