honey is a weird substance that bacteria cannot live in, it never goes off.
it apparently also preserves anything than is made from it and they don't yet understand it's full heeling property's

Bill, I have read posts of yours since joining Funsters earlier this year. Your knowledge, skill and ability to always think positive is a real credit.
I love mead and buy a bottle every Decrmber, a nice warming Christmas drink. Hope yours turns out to your liking.
 
another fascinating fact is that honey, and mead is the origin of the term honeymoon

back hundreds of years ago it was traditional for the bride's father to provide as much mead as could be drunk until the next full moon following the wedding ceremony. hence the honey moon

anyway, as already said, honey doesn't go off and is one of nature's miracles

well just wracked off the mead and had a wee taste it tastes of honey suckle with a hint of lavender. :Eeek:
I am no expert but definitely slight sented taste to it

Sounds fab Bill, you clever soul. You're a real magician - somebody gives you some honey and hey presto, look what you do with it!
