Thanks to the person that ran into the back of "Molly" whilst she was parked and obviously simply drove off. More money to lash out.

That's a PITA but should be easy enough to repair I would have thought.

What a shame. If you do a search there have been previous repairs done very similar to yours.
It’s great you have all the pieces, you can plastic weld them together.

Any ring doorbells in the street that would have caught the offender?

I detest the cowards that do that. Did it to our new Aygo in a pub car park. £140 to put right but it is still the idea of someone damaging your property and being such an ass**le to not admit it.

I'm going to jump in and say I feel bumpers should be made to take bumps. (like the French...)
I.e steel, or preferably, un-damageable plastic (being more pedestrian and cyclist friendly).
And possibly with a maximum liability from third parties (ie cheap, and replaceble).
Whilst I wouldn't drive into one deliberately, I think plastic mohos are a bit of a liability to everyone; and I can understand someone doing a runner, assuming they noticed.

I think it is ridiculous and unsustainable that some modern cars have bumpers that cost thousands of pounds to replace, because they are half the front of the car, colour matched, and full of sensors and cameras.

I currently drive a Ducato with black plastic corners; hard to damage and cheap to replace!

Thankfully we are not all the same, this happened very recently. My wife parks in a pub car park near to her ukelele club. After the club she reversed into a parked car. No one around, so what do you do? You go into the pub to find the owner to get it sorted. 5 years on the insurance record, but the right thing done.

enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
To the OP, I realise how peed off you must be but perhaps you could carry out some sort of repair that although not perfect, might suffice. I think all motorhomes get bangs, nudges and knocks over time, particularly in the rear corners, if you can live with an 'ok' repair in such a high risk area, then that might be an option to consider?

Same happened to me on the M1 near Derby a few weeks ago.
Taking it to Williams Motorhomes on Canvey Island to get it fixed
They were (are) boatbuilders and specialise in GRP type mouldings, recommended on here by another funster (thanks Treeeev you are a star)
Do a search on ‘Burstner Solano Rear Bumper’ for more info
Might only look like the O/S quarter is US, but structural damage (crazing) can go a lot further
Good luck

America used to have legislation, I think between 1973 - 1982, which stipulated that car bumpers had to be able to absorb a 5 mph collision without damage, it didn't do much for esthetics but saved quite a few insurance claims. I don't know why it was repealed, possibly because of the introduction of crumple zones and more emphasis on pedestrian safety perhaps?
