Hiring out my private motorhome

My daughter mentioned borrowing our "shed" because we are not currently able to use it. She hasn't got the right driving licence and even if she did, as much as I love her gremlins, they would wreck our pride and joy. It's different if we all go away together with them in a tent, because I am very strict about dirty fingers fiddling with things and generally misbehaving in the motorhome.

I paid cash (literally) for mine, 30k for Autotrail with 18,000 miles on it, we have had 4 sleeping in it and i dont like all the ******* shoes all over the floor, so no more of that.
For me it's a very private kind of thing, like someone else using your toothbrush so i would not loan it out to anyone. They wont look after it like you do.

There is a company offering short term insurance for private owners wishing to lend their van to a friend, see this link, https://www.tempcover.com/temporary-van-insurance/motorhome. I lent mine for 10 days to a friend who used them. Cannot give you the costs as he was happy and I was with the cover.

I still wouldn’t lend my van out to anyone.
