Hire Looking to hire a motor home. Any advice welcome (15 Viewers)

Welcome to the forum 
We hired 3 different motorhomes before we bought one from these guys (https://www.freedhome.co.uk/) who are based in Bury.
Not cheap but I'm very pleased we did as we realised what layout we wanted for our vehicle.

We found it a lot cheaper to hire in Germany.
You get better and newer models for less cost than you would get for an older and lower spec model in the UK
We went with DRM in Dusseldorf, they speak good English and you can leave your car there when you rent the motorhome.
There are several more Motorhome rental places in the area.
They are close to the German borders as Danes, Dutch, French etc all come to Germany to rent motorhomes.
We found the best way was to drive Harwich/Hook of Holland, overnight ferry, and drive to Dusseldorf (about 4 hrs)
It means you can take all your own bedding, deckchairs, etc etc and not have to hire there.
We met a UK couple at DRM who were picking up for a month in Spain, which they did every year.
They found it much better all round to rent in Germany and drive to Spain, than to rent in the UK and drive or sail to Spain
We rented a couple of times which gave a much better idea of what we eventually wanted to buy.
