£317.50 per day on the road, from memory.

So that’s £635 to go in and out.

Same rip off with Austrian Tools.

Our highly maintained Euro III DIESEL €0.29 per km.

Old French Citroen passed us , spewing out black smoke. Paying maximum €1 a day
At least with the Austrian roads it is possible to avoid the toll roads. We recently visit Austria in our 3900 KK motorhome and managed to dodge them.

I'm guessing many people just assume there's no London campsites so haven't done that research that you and MerlinUK have, hence the surprised comments.
I didn't think for a moment there would be that would be as close to a London train line.

Yes, the Abbey Wood site is a good spot, but you need to be mindful of the foxes. Don't leave your shoes outside, for example, 'cos the foxes will steal them. Not sure what they do with them!

Looks nice. How far is it from the nearest train line into London?
There used to be a gate at the bottom of the site on to the canal we took out bikes to Richmond train station about 10 minutes or half hour stroll,. Never had any problems leaving the bikes
Via the road a short taxi
Ride.

Like others, I have been using Abbey Wood on a regular basis for the last 10 years. The main difference is that if you parked at that spot today and looked out the window, the caravans will have been replaced by Motorhomes.
