I am trying to get a vehicle inspection from either RAC or AA, but when i put in my registration, they say, that it wont accept the vehicle

Is this because if is over 20 years old ? If so, where do i go for an inspection on dollie, as my solicitor is requesting this from me ?

I doubt the dealer will allow an RAC or AA inspection on your behalf now that solicitors are involved. And I wouldn't post much info on here either in case the dealer is looking in, it is an open forum.

I dont think they could refuse. They haven't returned her money so it's still her van.

With regard to the actual problem, it happens to me too all the time, so it's not just an age thing. My MH is a 68 plate and the DVLA says it doesn't exist. When you look at tyres, or parts or accessories, every supplier asks you for your reg. They all come back with "Computer says no". The Channel tunnel manually entered my details, but they had a "no" to begin with.

I have given up trying to tell the DVLA. If you can get one on the phone, it is like talking to a haddock. Yes I have a V5C, yes it says exactly what it is. But the DVLA computer says "Sorry, you must have input it wrongly."
