Hi folks - just made the craziest purchase of my life - a 37' Winnebago 3-axle Vectra

& thats the baby right there! Different colours but same bus! 7.4 litre Chevy V8 petrol, but converted to LPG. £120 to fill her up, for about 400 miles of cruising - not too bad I dont think? PLUS, the wife doesnt dare threaten to kick me out of home any more!......

That doesn't sound so bad. My van costs about £100 to fill but I doubt it would go 400 miles on a tank.

Update on LPG use - yes £120 to fill it......but after a weekend on A-roads to/from the Yorkshire Dales it aint going to do 400 miles on a tankful!....

Maybe you are the only one surprised at this !

I only ever put £10 in the gaslow tank and that is a right pain, how you manage to press the button to run up £120 I do not know.

you have a word in the garage and when it reaches its maximum (£100 i think) you press the button again

See your are back from your first week end away, did the RV live up to your expectations, or exceed them.
