I'm a newbie
My revenue weight is 4T, I assume this is my max weight.
On my vin plate as pictured is info and also as pictured on outside of cab door.
What I'm trying to find is how much can I carry on board and in garage.
What is my unladen weight.
I'm a newbie trying to understand.
I have a bursner solano t710

This will be because they modified/replaced the rear structure of the vehicle and their replacement structure can only withstand the loads they've certified.
I get that but the axle weights are still the same, it’s the train weight that’s reduced.

Yes, the most likely modifications that they made are to the "girders" (for want of a better word) to the back. It is likely that they extended the total length of the vehicle and the new lengthened structure behind the rear suspension is not strong enough to take the original declared loadings, so they reduced the declared train weight rather than make a heavier structure that could take the load.

But the loadings for the main unit are still the same, 2100/2400/4000 the train weight has come down from 6500 to 5400 so that means it’s the towed trailer and load that’s reduced?

We have a Hymer tag axle. We only have 1000kg train weight and I wanted to have a car I could tow behind idealy with a trailer. I spoke to SV Tech about uprating and the chap said the it depended on the Alko chassis. Because it was a tag axle the chassis tapers from the last axle to the back so cannot be increased.

Exactly. The converter has chopped off everything after the rear suspension and added on a flimsy extension, calculated to support the extra length required for the accommodation without wasting heavy expensive metal to support a heavy trailer that their customers rarely require.

Just a quick update , yes I do have a C1 license, I have weighed off today total 3420kgs and both axles fine.
Any one in teesside area looking for public weighbridge Cobra over the boarder on North Rd where the road salt is stored. £3 for weight ticket👍

Blimey 😦, just bought my first Motorhome and I’ve obvs got a lot to get my head round after reading this thread ! 😂
Get your vehicle onto a public weighbridge.
Find out what it 'actually' weighs

Whilst you are there also get the actual front and rear axle weights.

Then you can start asking questions! :giggle:

Q1: Does your existing licences allow you to drive it ?
Q2: How many KG load capacity do you have ?
and then rest will follow ..........

i‘ve got a c1 license but the Motorhome I’ve bought is limited to 3500 kg .
Thanks , I’ll try and find my nearest weighbridge to check it out …… empty as poss . Don’t pick it up for a couple of weeks and I’m frantically trying to read up as much as I can . Thanks 👍

"Empty as poss" simply means you then know how much spare weight you have.

You then either need to have an idea of the weight of everything,
or,
make it 'full as poss' and get it reweighed.

There is a wealth of info in these pages about motorhome weights

Your motorhome may be currently limited to 3500kg, but most newer vans will take an MAM upgrade as a paper exercise only to get you to 3850kg. If you still require more payload, it can normally be acquired through an engineering company ( SV Tech/ or Van Weight engineering. This will however require some mechanical to the vans suspension, (air bags + tyres), all reasonably easy to achieve.
